And she smells like
lemongrass and sleep...

"As President, all guests should be run by me. It's in the bylaws," Kristy stated, "since when do we have bylaws?" Y/N questioned, "what's a bylaw?" Leslie asked.

"Look it up," Kristy said, "and I wrote it in the Club Constitution over break. Do y'all ever check your email?"

"No one checks their email, Kristy," Leslie chuckled, "shut up," Kristy scoffed.

"Anyways...I brought Dawn with me today because she's a great friend and a great babysitter. Things were quiet over the holidays, but now our clients are back. We're gonna need another sitter, or else we'll get overstretched."

Kristy quickly looked at Y/N for back up, "she's not wrong," Y/N agreed with Maryanne.

"Well, as the last new girl in town, I'm thrilled Dawn is here--"

"--Well, technically I'm the last girl but mk," Leslie excused, "wait, you're in the club?" Dawn questioned.

"Uhh- yes, but no. But yes," Leslie laughed, "anyways about those bylaws, anything about kicking jobs to members who spent way too much on holiday gifts/ new riding boots?" Stacey chuckled.

"Second that. I have a toll of handmade washi paper being held at Dick Blick," Claudia agreed.

"Ew, she said 'dick'," Leslie gagged, "oh, speaking of shopping, I have some news. My dad is finally letting me redo my room a little bit," Maryanne said happily.

"Yes! New year, new you," Stacey cheered, "nothing major. I have some babysitting money saved, so he said that I could buy a few things. Some new pillows, maybe, a cool new lamp?"

"Hot. Let's browse," Claudia cheered, "okay, I'll pull up my Pinterest, I still have some boards saved form when I moved," Stacey said.

"Sorted by color, really?" Leslie said jokingly," sue me," Stacey rolled her eyes, "damn I was kidding," Leslie made face.

"Navy blue is nice. And it hides the dirt," Kristy said, "she's not wrong," Leslie agreed, " how about a theme? Something personal that you love?" Dawn suggested.

"Broadway musicals," Kristy intervened, "or textiles," Dawn said, "what, like yarn?" Kristy questioned.

An award silence clouded the room.

"That phone saves me from my misery," Leslie laughed as Stacey picked up the phone, "hello, babysitters club. Hi nat..."

"Remember how I said I needed a job? Can it's me the next one instead?" Stacey asked hopefully.

"Yeah, I'm broke, but no 'sit for the Barrets' broke," Claudia chuckled, "she's not that bad," Leslie defended.

Kristy gave her a look, "okay, maybe she is that bad," Leslie said, "what's wrong with the Barretts?" Dawn questioned.

"The three kids are out of control, and the mom is in a recently divorced wrecking ball phase," Kristy replied.
