We sat in the airport, waiting for our flight to depart. I was nervous because airplanes made me nervous as I was not a hundred percent accustomed to them like my uncle, aunt, and cousins were since they traveled quite a bit.

But I was going to swallow the fear and try and look at the brighter side of things.

My uncle then walked up to me, while Khaled, Louai, and Hassan looked up at him. Only, his attention was directed at me.

"What's up?" I asked, trying to be all smiles.

"So here's the thing. We're not going to Lebanon just yet but to Dubai for a month."

"Oh, okay. That's cool, never been and always wanted to go" I realized how stupid I probably sounded.

"The thing is that I know how much you want to return to Lebanon and wanted to make sure you're okay with that."

"I'm okay with it. As long as I'm with you guys, wherever we're at, I'll be home since you're my family."

His smile grew and tapped my shoulder.

"I love that you're a good kid. And you're going to love it there and in a month we'll return to Beirut."

"For sure. Is it for some shows you're going to do?"

"Yes, they want me to perform at the Dubai Opera House, again, and I figured it would be a nice experience for you too."

"I'm down" I smiled.

My uncle went to go make the needed changes since we weren't going to go back to Lebanon anytime soon.

I have always wanted to visit Dubai but never really made up my mind because, to me, it was way too luxurious. It was also another reason why I generally did not like going to cities like Beverly Hills because it was way too glamourous and too over-done, in my personal opinion.

Dubai, on the other hand, was very luxurious and even more so than any place or city here in the US but it was a different type of glamour. At least from my point of view as I have never been there.

All I could hope for was that I did not appear as a total outsider, especially now that it turned out that I am the nephew of a famous singer, The Superstar of the Middle East.

"Omar?!" I heard a female voice say from afar and it turned out to be Francie's, who was with Holly.

"Francie, Holly, what brings you two here?" I chuckled.

"Okay, so you already said your goodbyes to all of us..." Holly began. "But we just had to come and see you, again, since who knows when we'll see you, again."

The three of us ended up in a group hug and I realized how much I was going to miss them, as they were my best friends.

"I swear I'm gonna miss you two" I sighed.

"Same" said Francie. "But look, don't worry about your business. We'll send you weekly reports and let you know how everything is going. So don't worry and go live your life."

"Really appreciate it. And thank you."

Then Holly leaned over to my ear and whispered.

"Okay, your cousins are hot as hell!"

"You do realize they're like right behind me and likely, based on how they are chuckling, they heard you" I chuckled.

"Sorry" she laughed. "I just had to say it."
