MacKenzie's POV
"This must be why you're feelin' so sick, you know?" Barry calls through the apartment as he gathers his stuff. I zip up my backpack and toss it over my shoulder before leaving my room and walk into the living room where he is still calling through the apartment. "And since meta-DNA signatures can misrepresent HCG levels, I gotta...Hey, do you know where my keys are? I gotta drive these samples to S.T.A.R. Labs otherwise the chemical integrity could be compromised."
"Dad." I say and he looks over
"Yeah, baby?" Barry asks
"They're right here." I tell him, grabbing his keys from the table and holding them up. "Right where you always leave them."
"What would I do without you?" Barry says with a smile, taking the keys and kissing the top of my head. "I'll call you as soon as I know the test results!" He calls upstairs to Iris. We are about to leave the apartment but Cecile is outside the door. "Cecile! Oh, hey!"
"Hey." Cecile greets
"What are you doing here?" Barry asks
"Oh, uh, I have a file that Iris needed for the Kord case. Is she in?" Cecile asks
"No... um, she is... at work already." Barry says, blocking Cecile from entering
"Isn't that her work computer right there?" Cecile asks
"Yes, it is." Barry says. "But she's been more of a... pen and paper kind of reporter lately, you know? Old school."
"You're feeling very nervous." Cecile says, looking at Barry
"No, I'm not." Barry says
"Yeah, you are." Cecile says. "You're feeling nervous and excited...Ecstatic, even. Barry, what's going on?"
"I'm just... running late for work." Barry says. "It makes me kinda nervous... and ecstatic, 'cause I love my job, so...and I'll make sure she gets this, and I'll see you later!" He says, holding up a lunch bag
"Hey, I thought we were having lunch today." Cecile says
"Us?" Barry asks
"Yeah." Cecile says
"No, our monthly Tuesday lunch date!" Barry remembers. "Yeah, oh, yeah. No, I'm really looking forward to that. As always. This is just a... bag of... protein bars." He says. "It speeds your metabolism. I'm always hungry, so, um, see you later. Bye." He closes the door
"Uh, okay, I..." Cecile stammers
Barry breathes out deeply, his back on the door. "You know we do have to go out that door to leave, right?" I tell him. "And you just shut it."
"Well, the good thing about doors is they can open again." Barry says, opening the door before seeing Cecile leaving down the hallway and closing the door again. "Soon."

Barry, still holding his car keys, and I walk down the hallways of STAR Labs when Chester turns the corner. "Did you drive here?" Chester asks
"What's up, party person?" Barry exclaims, trying to change the subject
"Yo!" Chester exclaims, matching the energy. "So, why is the Flash driving a car? Oh, wait. Do you have a Flashmobile?"
"No, i-it just isn't safe to zoop these samples." Barry says
"Samples for what?" Chester asks
"Blood and urine for my annual physical with Caitlin, who is my GP." Barry says
