"Will your parents allow you to go to this party?"

Liam's face turned into a frown and he stopped walking. Him and his friends were going back home after a little get together at a cafe as it was the last day of school. He had been born and brought up in Wolverhampton. Their school was not as great as others, but he still loved it.

Their shirts were signed, they ate a lot of food as the owner, Mr Kal, a 74 year old man whose cafe's donuts are one of the most famous things in their small town, was in a happy mood and decided to give the senior batch a treat.

It was fun to spend some time with the people he's studied with for so many years. It was emotional too, everyone was close. Their school would be one of the few schools where bullying and ragging was strictly prohibited, even the jocks weren't the type too.

He had won a scholarship and got in to his expected college in New York. He was finally going away from this prison and live his life. Well that's what he thought.

Him, Louis and Harry were close friends since childhood. The three of them were inseparable, going together to school, always sharing classes. He had other friends too but the trio was always together.

He knew all of his best friends' secrets, yet they didn't know the secret he had kept from them for so long.

"I'm sure they won't. You guys know how they are" Liam replied with sadness, pushing back his curls.

He wasn't allowed to go out for parties. His friends knew that too. His parents were strict and they had a perfect reason to be so. But his friends always thought this behaviour would pass with time, sadly it never did.

"That sucks man! I heard Jacob is also coming and he's single again" Louis said wiggling his eyebrows.

Jacob, a football player of his school, has been after Liam since middle school. And Liam wouldn't lie that he isn't attracted to the guy too. Those broad shoulders and strong muscles could make anyone drool. But he can't allow anyone in his life. He wasn't a normal teenager who changes their partners as they change clothes. He wasn't normal at all.

"You know nothing's going to happen" Liam said in a low voice. Jacob had approached him at the cafe too, but the curly haired one had dodged him. Again.

"Well, it can if you try! Come on Liam, don't you want to have a boyfriend who'll take care of you and fulfill all your wishes" This time Harry spoke dreamily looking at his own boyfriend.

The brown eyed one connected more with Harry, maybe the reason is that Harry doesn't make fun of everything like Louis does.

"Not everyone is like Louis, Haz" The curly haired boy muttered, "Thank you very much for thinking about me, but I'll pass the offer for the party and for the boyfriend"

Two years ago, at Harry's 16th birthday party, Louis confessed his love for him. Since then, the two of his best friends were in a committed relationship. Also, since then they've been trying to hook him up too. And no matter how many times he denies any date that they set up for him, his friends always bug him.

He knew his best friends must be hurt by his words, but he couldn't help and feel irritated now. How can he tell them that he cannot get into a relationship just for fun? How can he tell them that once they learn his secret, everyone will despise him, consider him a freak, because he himself thought he was one.

He realized his mistake when he saw the hurt written on the couple's faces. With a tired sigh he said, "I'm really sorry, guys. You know how cranky I get sometimes and blurt out stupid things. Please forgive me" Tears had circled in his eyes.
