Guilt.

It's a strong emotion that a person seldom comes across in their lives. And Liam, a simple boy with much simpler dreams, had never thought that he would feel this way ever and to such an extent.

He had never once hurt someone, maybe unintentionally, he doesn't know. He had always been on his best behaviour, the teachers were always impressed with him, he was above average in his studies, could be considered among the top scoring students and even his parents can't disagree with this fact.

He had been a person who never medelled in anyone's business without reason. Always ready to help his peers and juniors.

With Jacob it was different. Their story was never meant to be and Liam had found it necessary to finally put an end to it, though the guy still hadn't talked to him, Liam felt that with time all wounds will be healed.

But with Zayn, he didn't understand why everything was so different. Because of his stupid mistake, he has spoiled their friendship.

And what hurt the most was Zayn's behaviour towards him. He acted as if nothing happened that night and was back to his old self. Liam had tried to talk to him the next day but every time Zayn made some excuses to avoid him.

The next day at the cabin, he had tried to talk to Zayn but the dark haired man had simply said that there's nothing to talk about.

And in these two weeks the curly haired boy has not seen him smile once. The smile that he got used to had just disappeared.

Liam has no one but to blame himself. His impulsive act had brought them here, and he could only hope Zayn would give him a chance at least to apologise.

"Mr Payne they announced our flight" Liam was pulled out of his daydream by Zayn's cold voice. His heart ached when he saw how hostile the dark haired man was towards him.

He sighed and got up to take his bag, there's no way he could talk to the man. This silent treatment was killing him and he didn't know how they'll be able to have a mature conversation if Zayn won't even be a little considerate towards him.

He watched Zayn walk in front of him. He knew it wouldn't do him any good if he tried again to talk to him and that's why he had just given up.

They had already cleared all required procedures at the airport and soon he was sitting in the plane with Andrew beside him.  Zayn should have been the one next to him but he had asked to change his seat.

If Liam had felt his heart break before because of Zayn's behaviour it was definitely in pieces now.

He suddenly missed his friends and mom. Saying goodbye to them was tough. His mom had been reluctant to let him go. And his best friends were no different. It was the first time that he saw tears in Louis' blue eyes.

Harry had given him a small handmade scrapbook as a token of their sweet memories. Liam had kept it in his bag as he didn't want to be a crying mess. He had already shed enough tears while saying goodbye to them all.

His father had just given him a pat on the shoulder. It should have hurt him, but oddly it didn't. He has become used to this, so it doesn't matter what his father does anymore.

Liam had requested his mother and friends not to come to drop him at the airport. His emotions were all over the place, him leaving his family behind, the problem with Zayn. It was way too much for him to handle.

He wanted to leave this place in peace.

Mikhael had come to visit him yesterday. It ended with a dinner made by his dad. It was very rare for his father to cook something, maybe he wanted to show Mikhael, gratitude for everything.
