“i don't take orders if it's not from oyakata-sama. but order me to kill this imbecile and i'll gladly do it” ran tightened his grip on the gun, he can see that you're not scared

“everyone, calm down. ran put your gun down, y/n let go of rindou. i'm manjiro, the one who asked for your service” you clicked your tongue before letting go of rindou, he touched his neck and sent glares towards you

“so are we sending her back?” takeomi on the corner, asked. you put your nichirin blade inside its sheath, paying attention on what they're conversing

“no. kagaya ubuyashiki won't sent her if she's weak and can't protect us” you don't like the way how manjiro addressed the young master but chose not to say anything about it

the bonten executives didn't argue with their leader further more, they can't win against him either way. they stared at you from head to toe and toe to head.

“what are you wearing? you look like a gang member or what” sanzu pointed out, you're wearing the navy blue version of the standard demon slayer uniform but with skirt, along with black and white pinstriped haori, the hem and cuffs of which are striped lengthways rather than vertically which covers your hands and the kanji of 'metsu' which means destruction on the back of your uniform

“and why do you have a bandage on your mouth?” kokonoi butted in, you didn't answer any of them which annoyed them

“i'm only here for my mission. anything that is not about the mission will be set aside. i only have one boss in here, and that is manjiro, if the order is not from him, i won't do it” you said as kaburamaru hissed, agreeing on what you've said

“tch, she looks like a loyal mad dog like sanzu” ran whispered but everyone heard that, sanzu got up drom his seat and started choking ran

mochi tried to stop the two from killing each other but he just can't. mikey cleared his throat which made them stop and behave their selves

“everyone, introduce yourself to her” they groaned but need to obey mikey or else they're dead

“Sanzu Haruchiyo, bonten's number two” you noticed the diamond shaped scars on the corners of his lips, that remind you of your own scars, but yours are worse

“Kakucho Hitto, bonten's number three” your turquoise and yellow orb met his red and white ones, you can see that his white one is blind like your yellow one. you both have a blind eye

“Ran Haitani, executive” he's the one who pointed the gun at you, he's lanky and has a purple and black hair that is styled in slicked back side part gelled to the right

“Tss, Rindou Haitani” he's still sending you death glares as you did the same, rindou has the weird hairstyle in all of them for you, he looks like a jellyfish

“Kokonoi Hajime” he sticked his tongue out which made you raise your eyebrow, he's the one who opened the door for you earlier

“Takeomi Akashi, bonten's advisor” he's smoking on the corner, he also has a scar on his eye

“Mochizuki Kanji, executive too” he looks the oldest of them all but he also look like the decent one of them all

“Manjiro Sano, the president. You can also call me Mikey. Introduce yourself properly to us too” he has a deep eyebags like he haven't sleep for weeks

“what's that serpent hashira thing? is demon slayer corps is a criminal organization too and you have different ranks there?” you don't like how nosy he is, curiosity can kill after all

“you'll know soon. not in the mood to explain, for now, i want to know if anyone of you already encountered a demon?” they fell silent and glances at kakucho and takeomi, takeomi sighed before showing his smart phone to you

he walked towards you, he played the same video that he showed to the other executives from the other day. you watched the video until it ends

tho you're wearing a bandage on the lower part of your face, they can see how you smirked wickedly, you won't letting a night past without killing a single demon

“say, where did you encountered this demon?” you asked takeomi as you can see the wall clock behind him, it's already 11 in the night. takeomi didn't hesitate to give you the location

“but it might be not there anymore since the cops already inspected that place days ago but they didn't saw anything” you nodded at takeomi, the demon might have already evacuated to another forest

“We're still curious about demons, where did they came from? are they very powerful?” kakucho voiced out his thoughts, you sighed silently, you really can't ignore their questions

“Demons are a mostly carnivorous, vampire-like species whose primary diet is humans, consuming their flesh and mostly the blood.” they felt a lump on their throat and continued listening to you, being the top criminal, they thought they're the most dangerous but apparently, they're not

“of course, they have their own leader, the king of all demons, the strongest of them all but we'll surely defeat and kill him. Muzan Kibutsuji” they can feel the anger on your voice while saying those

“the only thing that can kill a demon is the sunlight and this” you once again took out your nichirin sword from its sheath and showed it to them

“this is a nichirin sword. a special blades used by Demon Slayers made specifically for the purpose of slaying demons. they are forged with scarlet crimson iron sand and scarlet ore, both of which are found on high mountains. beinh weak against sunlight, this sword can cause fatal injuries in demon and can kill them if we'll target its neck” suddenly they're having faith on you, but only a little, they still see you as a weak small girl because of your mall frame and height

“can you really protect us? not to offend you but we look stronger than you, why don't you just give us nichirin blade so we can kill demon by ourselves” sanzu pointed out, the haitani brothers and kokonoi agreed on him

you didn't bother to hid your irritation as you rolled your eyes

“don't be an idiot. killing a demon is not easy as you think, sure you might be skilled on hand to hand combat but that can't do anything to a demon” you're spitting nothing but facts, but they think you're just trying to scare them

“that's true. as i've already encountered one, i feel powerless that time” kakucho said as he reminisced his encounter with a demon

“beside wielding a nichirin sword, what made the demon slayer corps special and powerful than us?” ran raised one of his eyebrow
