“CHRISTMAS IS COMING, ANY PLAN?” ran said, holding a billiard cue stick while looking at the other bonten members, they all shrugged their shoulders, obviously not having any idea

“what is christmas?” you've been hearing that 'christmas' word from then since last week, but you don't know what is that

“a celebration, not everyone celebrates that tho. december 25 is the exact day of christmas, it is believed that december 25 is the god's birthday, that's why people celebrates it.” kakucho answered you before sipping on his canned beer

“what people do on christmas?”

“hmm, from the word celebrate, of course there's foods, exchanging gifts, party? i'm not sure, we're not celebrating christmas often” koko said while his eyes still not leaving the money on his hand

“let's celebrate christmas this time. y/n is with us, that will be a new experience for her” they nodded at rindou who's sitting in the corner, playing a dart on his one hand

“alright, we gotta fix everything before 25. we gotta make this one perfect and memorable” ran clapped his hand in the air then proceed to put his right hand on his chin, thinking about something

mochi was not with them, the man is busy with something that they don't know.

“it's already 21, the mansion still don't have decorations. koko, ask your men to buy any decorations that we can use for christmas” koko nodded at takeomi and proceeds to go out of the room to contact his men

not knowing what to do, you just sit the couch while watching and listening to them conversing. you felt something pulling the hem of your haori, you looked down, only to see aeri

you picked the chubby cat up and put her on your lap, your hands rubbing her head

“meow” she closed her eyes, she must be comfortable by your touch. kaburamaru was moving on your neck, hissing while looking at aeri

“they're having a mother-daughter time, how cute.” rindou secretly fished his phone from his pocket and took a picture of you playing with the sleeping aeri on your lap

after he took a picture, he proceeds to his gallery and set it as his home screen wallpaper. satisfied by that, he stared at you for a minute

“that's my family right there” he blushed at his own thoughts, he cleared his throat and look at the other way. ran saw him and raised a brow, wondering why his little brother was red

“haruchiyo, why are you buying a puppy? are you planning to give that to someone as christmas present?” sanzu fell off on his chair after takeomi said that

he cussed takeomi mentally, he just told him not to tell anyone, yet he manage to bring it up. he quickly stood up and fixed his suit

“i d-didn't buy!” he quickly denied

“huh? what are you gonna do with a puppy? didn't know that you like dogs... wait no-- you're a dog yourself! bonten's loyal mad dog pfft” ran snickered, sanzu grabbed an empty can and threw it to ran who just avoided it

mikey entered the room, everyone went quiet and just eyed him, walking towards them. the undercut lad was looking lively this past few weeks, his eyebags are quickly disappearing

“what's the matter?” mikey asked them, they didn't hesitate to explain everything to him. all he did was to nod, sign that he agrees to everything. kokonoi then entered the room, putting his phone back to his pocket

“did you guys asked y/n is she wants to celebrate christmas with us or with the demon slayer corps?” they went silent at that, their eyes landed on you, who seems sleeping on the couch

your back leaning on the backrest, head was thrown back, eyes are close. with aeri on your lap and kaburamaru on your neck, the snake was not sleeping and is staring with them while sticking his tongue out

right, they forgot that you have your life in the corps. that your time with them was just temporary and you can leave them anytime

“i hope time can be a little more longer than usual.” kakucho muttered, the light atmosphere from earlier was slowly disappearing and getting replaced by a heavy one

for the months that you stay with them to keep an eye on them and protect them, they developed a strange feelings for you. they won't and can't deny that, denying that is just fooling their self

friendship. they are not sure if you see them as your friends but they surely sees you as their friend.

adoration. they don't know if you can see and feel it, but everytime they look at you, there are hint of adoration on their eyes. they adore everything about you, every single thing about you

everything was unexpected to them. the demons, the slayers and you. they didn't even want you at first but now, they are glad that you're the one that they got

“It's been a month but why does everything seem like yesterday?” ran mumbled

everything was still fresh for them. the night that kakucho and takeomi told them that they encountered a demon, the night that they didn't believed them, the day that you arrived on their mansion was the very same day that you came into their lives

“who would have thought that we will get along and create a bond with y/n?” kokonoi chuckled, remembering how they belittled you and don't like you at first

they don't like you at first for you're a girl and they think that you don't fit the job of protecting them, sexist. but you're proving to them everyday that the best man for the job is a woman

“i don't want to believe that our time with her will end sooner or later.” takeomi puffed his cigarette

they don't know when your mission on them will end, but they are not ready yet, they want to prepare themselves before you go

“she came to our lives in the most unexpected way. i would like to believe that demons are blessing in disguise because they are the reason that we met her but nah, they are the very reason why she suffered.” sanzu said, tho they don't still don't know your full back story, they are not dumb not to know that you suffered because of demons

“is she changing us? no... we are changing ourselves for her. she didn't asked us to do that, but we want to be better for her.” rindou turned his phone on, your picture that he took earlier, welcomed him

they are not saint, they are sinners. they do crimes like it's part of their daily lives and they are not planning to stop. but they want to be the better version of their selves for you

there are times when they wonder, what if they never met you? what if kagaya ubuyashiki sent a different hashira? or what if demons don't exists at all?

too many what ifs was running on their minds.

"she's the only certain in thousands of doubts.” mikey said with a little smile on his face
