"thank you" you say quietly to ririka once she'd finished her sandcastle, who gives you a confused looked and gently takes your hand into her
"What for?" The sliver haired girl asks with a small smile
"For everything" you say quietly "without you and kirari I'd still be the pathetic, shy little girl I was..." You pause "...well I'm still shy and barely able to function on my own but I honestly don't think I'd have made it this far without the two of you, so thank you. Words can't describe my admiration and love for the both of you" you give ririka a smile
Ririka gently squeezes your hand "I love you too, more than anything. When I'm with you I'm filled with a confidence and strength that I can't even begin to describe" she gently kisses your lips, after pulling away she asks a question "not that I mind hearing it but any reason you're feeling so sentimental all of a sudden?"
You sigh softly "I was just reminiscing about the times before I met kirari, nothing brought it on, I just let my mind wonder for too long"
"the things they said and did still haunt you?" Ririka looks at you worriedly "you said you got over them"
"And I have... M-Mostly, it's only when I've had a bad day do the memories come back and I still get the occasional n-nightmare" you say quietly
Ririka sighs quietly "I wish you'd told me or kirari, we'd have been able to do someth-
"Please don't tell kirari" you say quickly cutting off ririka who looks at you quizzically "you guys already do more than I could ask for and I don't want to worry her"
Ririka silently thinks about your request before nodding "fine, but if things get worse I want you to tell me or kirari immediately, even if it's just a little worse, ok?" Ririka says, her tone of voice said it's clear she wasn't going to take no for an answer "you've made so much progress compared to when we first met, I'd hate for you to return back to that" you nod agreeing to ririka's request
