Obi-Wan Kenobi's POV

Me and Qui-Gon's ship speed for the Trade Federation blockade.

"...As you know, our blockade is perfectly legal, and we'd be happy to receive the ambassadors," a voice sounds in the cockpit.

As we fly into the hangar of the Trade Federation blockade, a bunch of battle droids surround our ship. Qui-Gon and I step of the ship we a silver translator droid comes up to meet us.

"I'm TC14, at your service. This way, please," a woman's voice resounds from TC14. Qui-Gon and I calmly follow her as the doors close behind us.

"We are greatly honoured by your presence, ambassadors. Make yourselveds comfortable. My master will will be with you shortly," TC14 says as she walks off. I suppose she is referring to the Viceroy.

Qui-Gon and I remove our hoods. "I have a bad feeling about this," I comment.

"I don't sense anything," Qui-Gon calmly replies.

"It's not about the mission, master. It's something elsewhere, elusive," I say, my eyebrows furrowing.

"Don't center on your anxieties, Obi-Wan. Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs," Qui-Gon reminds me.

"But Master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future," I say, recalling a lesson that Master Yoda had taught me.

"But not at the expense of the moment. Be mindful of the living Force, young Padawan," Qui-Gon ends our little debate.

"Yes, Master."

Qui-Gon was not like the other Jedi. He believes that instead of dwelling on the future, a Jedi should focus only on the Force. They should let the Force guide them through the present, and not try to seek out the future.

As we stride towards the window overlooking the beautiful blue planet of Naboo, I ask my master, " How do you think the trade viceroy will deal with the chancellor's demands?"

"These Federation types are cowards. The negotiations will be short," Qui-Gon says with a hint of disgust in his voice.

Third Person POV

"What?! What did you say?!" the viceroy exclaims in panic.

"The ambassadors are Jedi knights, I believe," TC14 replies in her metallic voice.

"I knew it. They're here to force a settlement," the Neimoidian at the side, who is the viceroy's species, says.

"Distract them. I will contact Lord Sidious," The viceroy commands.

"Are you brain-dead?! I'm not going in there will two Jedi !" the advisor hastily declines and says, "Send a droid." His fingers curl up as TC14 walks away.

Qui-Gon's POV

"Is it in their nature to make us wait this long?" my Padawan, Obi-Wan asks after waiting for about 10 minutes.

"No. I sense an unusual amount of fear for something as this trade dispute," I say, getting a little suspicious.

TC14 walks over, carrying a tray of drinks. Obi-Wan takes a cup and takes a sip. I follow suit.

Third Person POV

Lord Sidious's blue hologram flashes in front of the Viceroy's face.

"What is it?" Lord Sidious asks, sounding a little impatient.

"This scheme of yours has failed, Lord Sidious," the Neimoidian beside the viceroy says. Everyone in that room knows that he is scared of Lord Sidious. " The blockade is finished. We dare not go against these Jedi." His voice gets softer with each word.
