Aris's POV

Jabba wakes up in his box.

The main hangar is almost deserted as racers depart.

"Great job, Aris!" Jar Jar comes over and gives me a bone-crushing hug.

"Jar Jar, put me down, you're choking the life out of my body," I say.

Padme walks over and looks at Anakin's limp body.

"Will he be alright?" she asks.

"He's just unconcious. Nothing to worry about. He's my brother, remember?" I reply.

Padme gives me a small smile.

Mom comes over now and gives me a hug.

"It's so wonderful, Aris. You have brought hope to those who have none. I'm so very proud of you," she says.

"Ah, it was nothing," I say, walking back to Anakin.

"Bro, you okay?" I ask as he wakes up.

"Did you win?"

"Have more faith in me, bro. Of course I did!"

"And yes, I'm okay."

"Good, cause we're gonna be free!"

"Really? What are we gonna do when we're free?"

"I don't know," I say as I think.

Anakin rubs his head and stands up.

Padme runs over and says, "We owe you everything, Ani, Aris."

Anakin literally stares at her.

I know that they're sus ඞ.

So, it's like I thought. Things have changed.

////////////////////

I walk up to Qui-Gon and Watto, who seems to be discussing some things.

"You! You swindled me! You knew the boy was going to win! Somehow you knew it! I lost everything," Watto says to Qui-Gon.

Qui-Gon smiles.

"Whenever you gamble, my friend, eventually you'll lose. Bring the parts to the main hanger. I'll come by your shop later so you can release the boy and girl."

Watto crosses his arms angrily.

"You can't have him! It wasn't a fair bet!" he protests.

"Would you like to discuss it with the Hutts? I'm sure they can settle this," Qui-Gon replies calmly.

"Take them."

I cheer from the side.

Watto and Qui-Gon both stare at me.

"You have a knack for listening into conversations, don't you?" Qui-Gon walks up to me.

"Meh, it's sort of my thing," I reply.

Qui-Gon laughs.

/////////////////////////

Qui-Gon walks with me and Anakin down the streets to my house. He takes a handful of Republic credits from his coat and hands it to both me and Anakin.

"Yay!" I cheer.

Mom is cleaning up as Anakin and I burst through the door.

"Mom, we sold the pod! Look at all the money we have!" Anakin says excitedly.

"Oh, my goodness, That's wonderful Ani," Mom replies.

"And Anakin and Aris have been freed," Qui-Gon says.
