SUMMERTIME SADNESS — LANA DEL RAY

I think I'll miss you forever.
Like the stars the sun in the
morning sky.

WITH EACH STEP
Dustin took, pain shot up
his leg.

He was currently walking
back to Eddie's trailer, due
to the fact that he saw Steve,
Nancy, and Robin all walking
back as well.

As he reached the steps and
the chain link fence around the
porch, he tried to swallow the
lump in his throat and prepare
himself for what was to come.

He opened the door, and just
stood as the three young adults
all stopped and stared.

"Dustin! Dustin..." Steve ran
up to him, grabbing his shoulders.
"Where are they? Are they still
out there? Why would you leave
them?! Dustin—"

"Steve!" Nancy grabbed his arm,
pulling him back from the boy.
"Dustin... where's Eddie and Sadie?"

"They... their.." Dustin let his head
bow, silently crying.

"No..." Nancy looked to Robin
who had tears already streaming.
Nancy looked back to Dustin and
Steve, and without a second thought,
she ran outside.

"Nance! No! Come back!" Steve
yelled, but she kept going with
only one thought circling around
her head.

She looked around for any type
of sign of her twin sister. But there
was none.

And that's when she saw it.

"Sadie!" She screamed out, running
towards the lifeless couple who were
still holding onto eachother.

The remaining three were on her
tail as the girl dropped to her knees
in front of her sister.

"No, no, no! Sadie. Please." She
sobbed, rolling her sister over to
see the wounds overtaking her
small frame.

Robin couldn't stand to look
at her two friends who were gone,
so she immediately dug her face
into Steve's neck, sobbing.

"They died protecting me."
Dustin broke the silence, all
eyes turning to him.

He gulped. "The plan worked.
But the bats got in the trailer..
through the vents. Sadie made me
go through the gate.. and she ran
out. Eddie followed her. When...
When I got through... it was too
late. I'm... I'm... sorry." He cried.
