and count to ten. Feel the earth

burst again.

Was the last words Sadie
Wheeler spoke before she ran
out the door, leaving Eddie standing
and Dustin in the real world.

"No!" Eddie yelled, as he looked
up to Dustin.

His eyes darted around the room,
and he acted. Pulling the mattress
from the floor and cutting off the
sheet-rope.

"Eddie, what are you doing?!"
Dustin yelled, tears flooding
his eyes.

"Saving her life." He said,
breathlessly as he ran out the
door.

Sadie had hopped on her bike when
she ran, the bats already surrounding
her.

When she got thrown off of it, she
didn't stop, no. She held up her
shield and spear, fighting her ground.

"Sadie, stop!" Eddie called out, not
knowing what to do as the bats
created a tornado like circle around
the Wheeler.

"Eddie, what are you doing here!"
She called back, as she dodged the
bats' attacks.

"You're an idiot if you think I'd
let you do this alone!"

She chuckled, but that was short-
lived as two bats grabbed her wrists
with their tails, making her drop the
weapons.

"Shit!" She screamed, as she was pulled
back by a bat tail around her neck.

"Sadie!" Eddie cried.

The bats now were digging into
her stomach.

She did what she could, ripping her
wrists free, and throwing them off
her body.

But that could only do so much.

After years, it felt like, she was finally
giving up.

But just as she accepted defeat, all
the bats dropped dead around her.

"Sadie! Holy fuck, Sadie!" Eddie ran
to her side.
