If Only

Chapter 1

Y/n sits in her bedroom, painting more murals on her walls while thinking about how her friends are going away to Auradon prep later in the evening.

She wishes it was her going with them so she could get away from her mother.

"Why not me." She thought as she scribbles out her painting in frustration.

She goes and jumps on her bed to admire her room. The walls are full with random splats of color, and picture frames of her friends everywhere. Her work clothes sit on the floor as they always wait on her to use. On her ceiling is a mural she painted herself of Carlos, Harry, Uma, Evie, and Y/n in one group; she is very proud of how it has turned out.

Her bed full of the softest blankets, and many pillows. She has many plants all around with her favorite flowers; dahilas.

She has a giant bookself that takes up half her room that she admires very much with a hanging chair right beside it. Books of many different genres that she loves, only becuase its a escape from reality.

Y/n gets up from her bed and changes into some clothes before she heads up the stairs from the corner of her bedroom, remebering she must go say goodbye to Carlos and Evie before they go.

She just hopes she doesnt get caught doing so.

"And where do you think you're off too?" Her mother says as she sits in the dinning room reading the news paper.

Damnit. I think to myself.

"Going for a walk" I lied. I had too. Mother doesnt like my friends very much. Actually she doesnt like anyone at all including me.

"I can sense you're lying."

I sigh. How the fuck does she know?

"No I promise mother I will be back before dinner."

I feel her eyes peirce through my head. I just stand there not looking at her back.

She puts on a teethy grin and says "Alright then."

I start speed walking through the door not wanting to talk to her anymore.

I start jogging through the streets so I can make it there in time as I start to think "Why does she dispise me so much" but I already knew the answer. Mother says im the reason my dad left us, but I have a feeling thats not the reason at all.

I shake my head to keep away those thoughts as I see Carlos, and Evie with their friends Jay, and Mal.

No one was there yet to pick them up which means I arrived at a good time.

"Hiii Y/n" Evie says as she gives me a big hug.

"Hi, I'm so happy for you guys. You have to call me as soon as you get there and tell me what Auradon is like" I said.

"Of course we will!" says Carlos.

"You better or I'll kick you so hard in the shins"

We all laugh.

"Why dont you invite the girl in Carlos, before I do" says Jay with a smirk.

Im not very close with Jay, sure I'll talk to him every once in awhile but he always tries to flirt with me and make things awkward so I try to avoid him for that.

"Come on in y/n" says Carlos, rolling his eyes at Jays comment.

"Thank you Carlos" I give Jay a stare as I walk by him.

I walk into the house and see the evil queen. She is like a mother to me shes done more for me then what my own mother has done.

I run up and give her a hug
