Nandini woke up to her phone ringing and quickly answered it before Manik woke.
Phone Call
N (Sleepy): Hello
G: Di yaar....aap log puri raat bahar they?
N (Now awake and looks around): Yeah...woh hum shayad yahi pe soh gaye.
G (teasing): Acha soh gaye...ya kuch aur kar rahe they
N(Red in the face): Shut up Garv....Di hoon tera.
G: Haan toh tabhi main bol raha hoon na. Bhai hoon aapka...aap mujhe bata sakte hai. Vaise bhi yeh sharmane wali baat thodi na hai, Jiju aapke husband hai after all.
N: Tu na seriously mere haath se maar khayega ab!
G (Laughing): Ok Ok...sorry! I couldnt help it! Par on a seriously note....jaldi se ghar aa jayiye. Raj uncle aur Nyo unty aapko dhund rahe hai.
N: Haan thik hai. Hum bas 5 minute mein aa rahe hai.
G: Cool....bye
Phonecall Ends
"5 min mein kaha jaa rahe hai hum?" Manik mumbled, half awake.
"Ghar! Hum puri raat bhar they Manik! Sab kya soch rahe honge?" Nandini got up and started gathering her things.
"Relax...tum kisi ajnabi ke saath thodi na they. Im your husband...isme sharmane ki kya baat hai?" Manik said. Nandini stopped and looked at him.
"Garv ke saath saath tumhe bhi maar chahiye kya?" Nandini threatened. Manik just chuckled. "Chalo ab...ghar chalte hai."
"Whatever you say, boss." Manik saluted. Nandili rolled her eyes in amusement and they left.
Finally they reached home to find the family members waiting for them. Everyone had a serious and angry expression on.
"Manik...kaha they tum dono? Humare ghar mein aise puri raat bina bataye bahar nahi rehte." Raj said sternly. Manik gulped in fear.
"Dad woh...main woh...main woh actually...woh...."
"Woh woh kya? Huh?" Raj asked. "Itni gair zimedar kaise ho sakte ho? Shaadi ho gaya hai tera phir bhi responsibility naam ki koi cheez hi nahi hai!"
"Im sorry Dad." Manik said meekly. Nandini was about to apologized too when she noticed Nyonika hiding a smile....seeing that Nandini saw her, Nyo winked at her and Nandini understood that they were just joking. Manik however was scared his Dad was angry. "Sab Nandini ki galati hai! Maine bola tha jaldi chalo jaldi chalo par nahi...madam toh soh hi gayi!"
Nandini's mouth fell open as Manik lied. "Kya dusht aadmi hai yeh...planning iska tha aur ab pura ilzam mujhe pe dal raha hai? Tumhe toh main dekh lungi Manik Malhotra."
"Oye! Sharam kar....saara ilzam meri bechari bachi pe dal raha hai tu?" Nyonika pulled Manik's ears.
"Aur vaise, main mazak kar raha tha." Raj said. "Tum dono ki nayi nayi shaadi hai... tum bahar nahi ghumoge toh kya hum ghumenge?"
"Wha- matlab...aap gussa nahi hai?" Manik asked.
"Tha toh nahi, par ab hoon. Teri himmat kaise hua meri beti pe ilzam dalne ka?" Raj kept his arm over Nandini's shoulder lovingly.
"Kya yaar...mere parents hoke aap Nandini ka side le rahe ho? How mean!" Manik pouted.
"Toh? Matlab Ma aur Papa sirf tumhare hai? Mere kuch nahi lagte?" Nandini pretended to get upset. Manik felt bad and went to comfort her.
"Nahi...mera woh matlab nahi tha."
"Rehne do!" Nandini held up her hand and stopped him. "Dekh liya maine...tumhara kya matlab tha! Mushkil aate hi mujhe samne dhakel diya aur ab keh rahe ho ki Ma aur Papa se mera koi rishta hi nahi hai!"
"Eh? Maine yeh kab kaha? Nandini...I didnt-"
"Huh!" Nandini flipped her hair and marched away. Raj & Nyo watched in amusement as they could both tell Nandini was joking. Even Nandini held her smile in as she walked upstairs to their room. Manik ran after her.
"Nandini....tum sach mein naraz ho gayi kya? I didnt mean to hurt you...woh toh Dad se thoda darr lagta hai thats why..." Manik explained. Nandini looked at his face and burst out laughing.
"Haha Hahaha! Haha! I know....Tumhara shakal dekhne layak tha! It was hilarious!"
"Seriously? Tum bhi mazak kar rahi ho mere saath?" Manik glared at her.
"Well my dear hubby...everything is fair in lova & war...aur tumne jo niche mere saath kiya? Uska kya?" Nandini wagged her eyebrows.
"jijuu! Di!" Ishaan walked in. "Aap dono ko niche bulaya hai."
"Thik hai tu chal...hum aate hai." Nandini replied.

"Family trip?" Nandini asked.
"Haan...actually hum pehle hi batana wale they lekin-" Raj said.
"Lekin aap log mere tang keechne mein busy ho gaye...right?" Manik finished with a smirk.
"ANYWAYS....main soch raha tha ke hum sab ko ek family trip pe jaana chahiye. Goa!"
"Cool!" Jiya squealed.
"Awesome! That will be so much fun!" Manik agreed.
"Aur Nandini...tum apne chachu ko bhi call kardo. Woh bhi toh ab iss parivaar ka hissa hai...just like you and your siblings." Nyonika told Nandini who smiled at her.
"Ji Ma...main bata dungi unko!"
