you had a lot of baggage in your bed--
you lured me close,
backed up,
and dumped it for me to take care of.
you left tread marks and tire skids all over my heart,
and headlights imprinted on my eyelids.
you saw me like a deer in the headlights,
and you hit me anyways,
leaving me on the side of the road for someone else to find,
and i laid there in the dark
until i had the courage to get up again.but every time i see a red truck roaring down the road,
i flinch.
