"Well, at least we now know there isn't an impostor," Elemental said as Chosen, Deserved, and Second returned and sat down.
Everyone else nodded, their spirits lifted slightly.
"Right," Chosen said, "Now, the team members. Cobalt?"
Cobalt nodded, and stood up. Silver did the same, and so, reluctantly, did Victim.
"We'll need someone who can fly," Silver announced.
No-one raised their hands.
One second passed.
Two seconds.
Three.
Finally, Multi raised his hand. "Uni's my brother; I'm going."
"Thank you." Silver and the others sat down.
Disaster's stomach suddenly rumbled. He reached under the table and grabbed a bag of macarons. Opening it, he began eating.
Ragey turned to look at him. "Hungry?"
Disaster nodded, mouth full of macaron.
"Cobalt," Elemental said, "weren't you going to mention something?"
"Uh... what?"
Elemental pointed at his head, made a sleeping gesture.
"Oh! Okay, uh... everyone? May I have your attention please?"
Everyone turned to look at him.
"Um... I saw more things happen in my dream," Cobalt said, "I saw... um... Ragey fighting Disaster-" He paused, looking up nervously. No-one's expressions had changed. "-Red and Shaira pushing Yellow and Blue over a cliff, and, uh... Dark glitching out of existence."
"The last one is wonderful," Disaster said, "but the others?"
"They could be ViraBots," Ragey reminded him.
"They probably have an official name, Ragey," Chosen said.
"'ViraMorph DV-0012'," Second said.
"What?"
"It was printed inside the Bot's body."
"Very well," Chosen said, turning back to look at Ragey, "the ViraMorph."
"Mmm."
"Anyway," Cobalt said, "yes, they could be ViraMorphs."
"Great." Disaster didn't sound very enthusiastic, but his expression brightened a bit as a little hope crept into him.
