Let's rewind a bit before the response of the military in the facility. Surely, we can't miss out the juicy bits of details now, can we?

Hours before the cataztrophic encounter, a team of scientists in Test Chamber 03 thought of using parts of an exceedingly rare high ranking humanoid siren as a filler for the wisdom cube. The subject of this test if they could somehow make a pseudo high ranking sirens that has an ability to control the pawns to and manipulate certain degrees of a type of energy, namely lasers. They would then try to understand the principle behind such magnificent control of power on these remarkable creatures. One of the scientists said something that halts the progress of the test, albeit for a bit.

"Hey, isn't it a bad idea to artificially make these sirens? What if they retained their consciousness and killed us?" She spoke.

Everyone thought for a moment on that statement, they wondered if that is true then they practically destroyed one of the last labs of humanity. They'll be remembered as one of the primary causes of humanity's failure, if a part of humanity won and dug through the past to be revealed as one. But the head scientist team dismisses the statement.

"That's impossible, since we are using parts of their limbs and not internal organs nor their head. So, it's very safe. Probably." He spoke.

"If this fails, it's on your ass you hear me?" She spoke.

"Yeah, bet my ass on it, now stop talking and start working." He said half-heartedly.

They then resume working. Checking the readings from some machine, putting down the necessary amount of siren materials down to the two tanks, writing down their findings and other couple of mundane tasks. It was an average work for the average day, if not for the sirens exterminating you on the face of the planet that is.

"Okay, is everyone ready?" The head scientist said. Everyone nodded.

"Good! Gordon, climb the stairs over there and start the test." He said to a scientist named Gordon, strangely, he has glasses on his very fine-looking face with a goatee and has trouble speaking.

Gordon climbs the stairs and pushes the button. The test chamber's lights go dim and emergency lights turned on as most of its power is directed to the test tanks. You might be asking, "How can a facility be lacking power that it resorts to using the emergency lights? Well, with this isn't the only testing site that conducts an experiment."

"Energy readings are stable and rising..."

"Fusion of materials are going smoothly on both tanks."

"Looks like the hard part has passed without any problem." The head scientist said. As he sighs in relief, a warning came up in one of the machines.

"Sir, energy levels of the tanks have reached passed the normal levels and is still rising!" One exclaimed. Worry and fear was shown on the faces of everyone as they directed their concern to the head scientist. But he ignored their concern.

"Continue, unless the readings are near critical levels, then everything is fine." He told them. The team sighs and prayed that the test tanks wouldn't explode on them or cause a catastrophic event.

"Do not worry everyone, everything will be fi-" He was cut off as alarms blared in the chamber. A sign where everything is not fine!

"Oh! Gordon, get away from the-" He couldn't finish as the whole chamber shook hard. Cracks started forming from the center of tubes. Some of the people are screaming as their equipment drops on top of them while some broken from the overload. The head scientist then realize that further tests would lead an irreversible event, but he is this close in achieving a breakthrough... he bit his lips and decides it's not worth it.
