So I wasn't delusional in thinking that there might be something between us. But now I can't stop thinking about what would have happened if we kept going, if Jasmine wasn't in the literal room next to us. Fuck.

I shoved all of the thoughts to the back of my mind. Neither of us had time to think about this right now, even though I wish we did.

Erik made me feel something that I haven't felt in a long time. I felt like he cared, like he could fully understand me and accept me. He didn't back away from the darkness that encapsulates me when it comes to revenge. I don't feel numb when I'm with him, which is a first in a while.

The next day, it was time for Klaue and his group to leave for the deal. They all got dressed in suits and smart attire to attend the club. Several monitors had been set up in the middle of the living room for me to work on. I had opened up the surrounding cameras to the location's entrance to inspect everyone who came in and out.

As men started to pile into the room ready to leave Klaue came up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Now you need to let us know when the Wakandans arrive, because trust me, they'll come"

"And what am I looking for exactly? People with dark complexions? What if it's just a random group of gamblers?"

"There's not many people who look like you in Korea so there shouldn't be too many groups that you should get confused by. They'll most likely be wearing clothes with tribal designs, its their armor, the vibranium is already sewn into them"

I nodded even though I was still unsure on what to expect. Klaue and his entourage slowly left through the elevator; when I finally heard the last of them leave with the elevator's soft sound of its closing doors I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds. Breath in. Breath out. This was the last mission. After this I wouldn't have to help Klaue anymore. Our business would be done, even though he's not aware of it. I already felt tired. I was tired of having to deal with the constant ambiguity of Klaue's goals and our ever-changing whereabouts. I sighed as I opened my eyes again.

Killmonger stood behind the monitors staring at me with a smile on his face.

"Meditating?" He asked softly

"I don't have the patience for that"

He chuckled as he slowly walked towards me. He leaned his front on the back of my chair as I felt my stomach drop. The mesh of the chair created a barrier between our bodies but I could still feel his torso and... um, lower half of his body lean up against my back. He lowered his head to my ear as he watched the monitors in front of me.

"See anything of value yet?" I could feel his hot breath on my neck

"Not yet" I said quickly trying to control my breath even though my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest.

"Hm" He mumbled as he tilted his head to look at my neck "I think I see something of value right here" His lips hovered over my skin as it barely touched it sending shivers down my spine. He pulled away in a sudden movement and left with a smirk plastered across his face. I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding in.

I hated the power that he had over me, but I know he loved it.

Jasmine rounded the corner of the living room as Erik sat on the couch. I had my gaze glued to the screens but I felt her look at me. She strutted and sat right next to Erik as she slowly toyed with his hair.

"Come on baby, Im sorry" she pleaded

Killmonger shook his head trying to shrug off Jasmine's prying hands. He didn't say a word, rather got up and walked over to the monitors again. He placed a hand on his ear activating the telecommunications system.
