Stand up for him (finney)

Finney was always bullied. So was I but never as bad as him. Robin usually stuck up for him but now that he's gone, he can't do that

It was just finney, robin and I in our gang. We were all joined at the hip and when robin went missing, finney and I became even closer if that was possible

It was 10pm Tuesday night, robin went missing on Saturday and all my energy had been drained from looking for him so I hit the hay early

Robin- hey y/n

Y/n- robin? Your alive

Robin- I wish, this is just a dream

Y/n- oh... why are you in my dreams

Robin- you can't come looking for me, I'm dead. But I need to tell you something, you have to promise me

Y/n- I promise

Robin- you have to stand up for finney

Y/n- I always do

Robin- no, I mean stand up for him in the way I used to

Y/n- finney can stand up for himself

Robin- he's a fighter but he needs you to help him see that

He was right, finney needed me to help him. Even though I knew he was strong enough. He always knew how to take a punch so I bet he knew how to give one

I woke up, sweat pouring off me. I broke down in tears. I never got to say goodbye, I never got to say how sorry I was. If I had just went to get that candy with him on Saturday he would still be here. He would be right by my side.

I walked to school, passing by the shaw household. Finney ran out the door catching up to me

Finney- hey

Y/n- hey Finn

He looked away

Y/n- shit I'm sorry

Finney- no it's ok, other people can call me Finn, not just robin

Y/n- yeah like Donna

Finney- shut up

He liked Donna, well at least that's what he told Robin. I tried to be happy for him but how can you be happy when your secret first love moves on?

Moose stormed up to finney, pushing me aside to get to him

Moose- your friend fucked up my teeth and now that he's gone your going to pay for it

I thought about what Robin told me last night but this was moose, moose was so much taller and stronger than me. I would've been fine if it was one of those smaller bullies but moose would fuck me up for sure

Moose swung at finney, knocking him down. A crowd formed around us, cheering on moose

Y/n- come on finney, get up please

I prayed and prayed but it seems it was useless

Tears formed in my eyes as I watched moose beat him again and again. I had to do something but I couldn't take him alone

I grabbed a rock, throwing it at his back causing him to turn to face me

Y/n- oh shit

Moose- I left you out cause your a girl but I guess I'll fuck you up too

He started to come towards me. My eyes widened in fear. A made a very quick educated decision and kicked him in the balls, fine it was just my reflexes but it worked. He fell onto his knees and then I took the chance to elbow him in the face, breaking his nose.

I ran over to finney, helping him up

Y/n- are you ok?

Finney- how did you do that

Y/n- dumb luck I guess

We both laughed. I wanted this moment to last forever, finney in my arms. It was ruined by Donna running up to finney

Donna- oh finney your so brave

She tried to touch his cheek

Finney- fuck off donna

She looked at him shocked and to be honest so did i. I thought he liked her, I guess not. She ran off, tears streaming down her face

Y/n- I thought you liked Donna

Finney- what? No

Y/n- but robin said-

Finney- I told Robin to say that, I didn't want you finding out who I really liked

Y/n- well now you've told me you like someone, you have to tell me who

Finney- you sure you won't beat my ass like moose if I tell you

Y/n- depends who it is

Finney- you

I smiled, attempting to hide my blush. Finney placed his hand on my chin pulling my face up gently to look at him. Now this moment I really wanted to last forever. In love and feeling like I did robin proud. I knew he was up there gagging at this but deep down he was proud of us both
