Chapter 14 :- Movie Night

Sage confess, "I really liked today's date, i really enjoyed it... and as i previously said i have these feelings for you which i can't explain, so can we explore these .together... *sigh* i'm really bad at this.... What i want to say is will you go on another date with me? or actually... Sabine will you be my girlfriend?"

This was the first time Sage has called her by her name. Viper wasn't able to hold herself back and pulled Sage toward her in a hug. Sage was able to feel her heartbeat so fast, but then she noticed it wasn't just her heartbeat she could feel but aslo of Viper. She softly spoke in her ears " Of course i will LingYing "

Viper was lying on her bed, thinking back to the events of the previous few hours. They had returned to the headquarters. They remained hand in hand throughout the remainder of the journey.

Viper wanted to pull her in a kiss and hold her tightly for the rest of her life, but she refrained from doing so because she believed it would be too fast and she would make her uncomfortable, and also because Viper isn't the type to express emotions, especially affection. Even now, she couldn't accept the fact that she is in a relationship. It was too unreal.

She turned to look at the gun buddy on her phantom. This was the gift she got from Sage. She touched her chest to feel the heart that was beating so fast just by remembering what had happened. If someone saw her like this, no one would believe that this is the same ice-hearted Viper.

She mumbled, "I should sleep because I have work to do," as she glanced at the time. Because she could always see Sage's happy face when she closed her eyes, she had a hard time falling asleep. The fatigue from the day finally caught up with her after 15 to 20 minutes, and she eventually fell asleep.

KINGDOM HQ

"Our recent operation at Breeze was unsuccessful. Those Valorants bastard came yet again," a woman stated, showing images at a roundtable meeting. She then showed images of Sage and continued, " As many of you already know this is the healer and also act as the vice captian of the team. She also train the new recruits... so i suggest to be on priority to take her out. She always heals her comrades or revives those whom we kill with difficulty. "

All the other members discussed it among themselves and came to an agreement. On the other side of the table, a man stood up and walked toward the woman taking remote from the woman, and said " so now that we have agreed to rid her, this is my plan: We'll fake a shipment at Haven and-"

Their meeting continued on and 4 days passed by while our couple were busy in their work.

During these days, while they might be busy they still took out time of their schedule to spend some time together in the balcony. Most of the time it was just Sage talking about many things and Viper just listening to her. Well Viper also carried the conversation as to not look rude. Other than this sometimes Viper also go visit Sage in her clinic.

During one of these days, Sage overheard Viper asking other agents about Reyna, things like her relationship status, food she like, etc., leading Sage in misunderstanding that Viper is interested in Reyna... that she is cheating on her. Well Viper cleared all the things before it became a disaster. It was all thanks to Sage acting mature and directly asking about it from Viper, and Viper explained to her that she was just collecting info on her for Cypher.

Finally, today, on a weekend, they are both somewhat free, and Sage has invited Viper to her room for a movie night.

It was night time, Viper was walking toward Sage's room. She arrives at her gate and stops to collect her breath and calm down before knocking. She then notices that no one is inside and turns around to leave.
