Wanda's POV

The kids fell asleep during the trip so Peter parked at a Rest stop after driving for a while "I'll take a flush and I'll get some snacks and the Ice creams, Anything you want dear?" He said unbuckling his seat belt "Just get me some vanilla flavor." I said gently smiling at him and he raised his brows in response as we softly kiss before he leaves. I turn around to the side to see the boys at the back still asleep with their heads leaning on the window as I softly smile at them "They do look like their father." I thought as I put my head back still smiling as I closed my eyes for a bit until two guys came to the car "Hello? Wanda Maximoff? We're a fan! can we take a picture??" They eagerly said as they bring out their phones, My windows were rolled down at the moment but I wasn't expecting this to happen so I just agreed

"Hold on lemme' get out the car." I said as they giggle in excitement "Alright beautiful say cheese!" I stand between them as they wrap their arms around my shoulder and smiled before getting the shot "Thank you so much Ms Maximoff! Here's our number! We'll gladly treat you anywhere!" They happily looked at the picture before shaking my hand and giving me a postcard with their info written on jt "Oh I appreciate it but you seriously trust me with this??." I nervously said as they look at each other before to me and giggled "Is there a problem, We mean you can come with us right now Ms Maximoff?" They arrogantly said with their smug and smirking faces as I start to get uncomfortable since they won't leave and the other guy then whispered something to his friend while I just stood there awkwardly smiling. They chuckled while looking at me as I started to get more agitated and next thing is they observed what I was wearing before their patronizing look turned to jaw drops "W- W- What's that ring?" They stuttered as they stare at my finger "Oh this? I'm married so I guess you have to call me Mrs instead." I nervously chuckled as they looked defeated and left in shock

I got back in the Car to see the kids still asleep as I breathe out a huge relief "That was awkward." I said and saw Peter in a distance with a bag walking towards us. He enters the car quietly after putting the bags in the trunk "Hey there, You won't take the restroom?" He said as he struggles with his seat belt as I shook my head in response "Alright let's go.." We drove off and during the ride my eyelids becomes heavy "Wanda?" He said softly as he puts his hand on my thigh "Hmm?" I breathed out since I'm falling to sleep at that moment "What did those 2 guys want with you?" He said as I immediately gets surprised and nervous "Oh them?
They just want some pictures cuz' they said they are a 'fan' of me." I said nervously as I open my eyes immediately "Really? Fan where?" He sternly said "Probably my modelling stuff or just being an avenger...." I said darting my glances at him seeing his lips downturn and his eyes squinting as If he's grimacing "Is something wrong Peter?" I stroke his hands on my thigh as he laughs forcefully and his eyes dilate "No worries my dear, sorry for disturbing your sleep." He said poker-faced as he mildly smile "Peter I know you for a long time now, I know something is wrong.." I said shaking a bit and also anxious

He glares at me as I tilt my head downwards, I don't know what happened to him after he returned and he seems so different lately that it's starting to make me pale and sweat until he slowed the car down to the side. I turn over to him to see his eyes closed as he sighs heavily "Wanda, I'm sorry If I made you worried, I just missed you after all these days.... I- It felt like I've missing a lot you know.. One day I'm gone the next you're with this 'Simon' and I feel left out.." His voice was shaking as he swallow between words, I slowly turn over to him meeting each other's eyes as we softly before leaning in and giving each other a kiss "Peter don't be upset because you shouldn't be worried about him or anything else.. But whatever is it that you wanna know, I'll be more than glad to tell you." I whisper to him as our foreheads rests on each other, Peter's clingy nature sometimes gets overlooked by his caring attitude and I love him for it even I miss our old moments where he'll feel missing like right now "Thank you Wanda.. I love you.." He said as we return to our seats and gave each other a broad smile "I love you too Pete.. but you should speed up before we get pulled up." I said as he chuckles while I felt safe and snug around him that I felt sleepy again "Right.. Have a good nap Wanda." He said in an endearing way as we maintain eye contact and I leaned in to him and gave a him kiss on the cheek "I- I'm not expecting that." He said blushing a bit "Shut up and drive before I give you something more than that." I teased while resting my head on the window with my eyes closed
