THE WIND HOWLED AROUND US as we stepped out of the cave’s exit, woods surrounding us and echoing the weather. Thunder rumbled, but no rain would fall that night, it was peculiar. It didn’t seem correct. Then again, not a lot about that night seemed correct. As if mirroring my thoughts, the wind blew harder, hitting the torch and snuffing out the flame. I sighed, throwing it to the side and motioned everyone else to follow me down the path, into the forest.
Emma: We should be fine if we stick to the path. The shore’s down south from us, we just need to keep the wind behind us and we’ll get to the school soon.
There was silence for a few seconds and then Tenn’s voice spoke up through the breeze.
Tenn: Aasim was the third.
Clementine: Huh?
We all turned to him and he looked slightly nervous, but he continued what he started.
Tenn: The day after AJ killed Marlon. You already know Violet and I voted for you to stay. Aasim was the third vote.
AJ: Wait, that means… Omar voted us out? And… Ruby?
