MY KNEES SKIDDED ON THE WOODEN PLANKS, both of them being thoroughly scratched, but with a poison arrow still soaking into my veins and my leg being most likely broken; I had worse issues to deal with. Talking about worse issues, Clementine managed to pull me next to her, her hand still holding onto my own from where she had caught me when I nearly slipped down into the depths of the valley below, and me, her and AJ watched as Louis struggled to get Tenn across the gap in the bridge.
Louis: Tenn, we have to go, now!
I shared a worried look with Clem. If Louis stayed in the position he was in right now, the walkers were going to grab him before they reached Tenn. If anyone needed to go, it was him.
Emma: Louis, come on!
Clementine: Hurry up!
Minerva: No!
Louis: Tenn, fucking move!
AJ: Let him go! You’ll die if you don’t!
There was a moment of silent struggle, but then a gunshot hit the air, scaring birds away from the trees nearby. Smoke drifted from the barrel beside my shoulder and I turned to see AJ having fired it from our side of the bridge. When I turned back to Louis and Tenn, I found only Louis still standing. Tenn held his neck, the blood gushing from his throat, slipping from in between his fingers, his screams being turned into guttural gibberish.
