Chapter Twenty-One Gentle Confession

IT WAS A PICNIC SET!
Diavolo had actually planned a picnic for your date. You were quite surprised to see all of these preparations yet happy that he went all the way to do this for you. Well normally, you didn't get those kind of surprises, so you didn't know how to react to this.
Surely your husbands do make surprises for you, but you're always aware of them thanks to your crow.
The prince turned to you with a big smile, "So? How do you like it?" He asked you with hopeful eyes, that was quite adorable. You gave him a small smile and walked to set on the blanket, "It's nice... I like it." You said, trying not to sound more anxious.
Truth to be told, you weren't used to dates and all that nonsense. You would consider going out with your husbands as a family picnic of some sort since you're married NOT dating. Your outings would mostly be filled with Suma crying and Makio yelling at him, it wasn't always that quiet or normal date. You weren't complaining, it was in fact part of your life and you got used to it. Thus, being in a date with Diavolo was just something new to you. In occasions like this, you have to act like the woman you're.
He joyfully joined you and sat beside you, "I'm happy you like it, please don't hesitate to eat anything you like." He stated, holding his hand out toward the picnic basket. You laughed and opened it, seeing all various kind of food that it suitable for this occasion. You both pulled the food out and started to place them on the blanket.
As you both ate and chatted, Diavolo decided to ask, "So Y/N, why don't you tell me one of your adventures as a demon slayer." He suggested with enthusiasm that made you chuckle.
"I would gladly tell you about my flamboyant missions!"
You proceeded to tell him about all your missions and how you skillfully dealt with all of your enemies with ease. Diavolo was listening to everything you were saying with anticipation, nodding every now and then. However, a question popped in his head that he so suddenly felt so curious to know the answer.
He waited until you finished talking and then asked, "Tell me Y/N, how's your life with three husbands? How do you manage your life with three men who had their needs and wants?" You blinked a few times as Diavolo felt somewhat ashamed of asking such a question. A laugh suddenly erupted from your lips, taking the red haired demon by surprise.
"Well, they sure can get needy sometimes, but I never get bored of them. Believe it or not, they can be so scary when they get mad."
"Is that true now? I just saw that they are very nice."
You chuckled under your breath and shook your head, "Still though, I care about them more than my life. I love them even though they are very chaotic most of the times." You said with a soft smile. Diavolo couldn't help but smile, "I really admire your love to your husbands, it's really something unique to see." He told you which made you laugh. You both went quiet and looked up at the sky, "The moon is very beautiful..." You mumbled and that gave Diavolo an idea.
Out of blue, Diavolo stood up and extended his hand toward you, "Come along now." He told you while you looked up at him with puzzlement.
"Where?"
"Just trust me."
You shrugged your shoulders and took his hand, helping you to stand up. Just then, something happened as you and Diavolo stood. His form changed, his clothes changed and there were horns and four wings. You couldn't lie to yourself, he looked so flamboyant and attractive! You felt his arms wrapped around your waist which made you look at him with suspicion, "What are you doing?" You asked with a glare.
He chuckled, "Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything to harm you. Now hold on tight!" You didn't get any chance to reply him as he suddenly jumped high up into the sky.
"He is flying! So flamboyant!" You thought in awe as everything below you was getting smaller and smaller. It wasn't like you weren't to high places before, but it just took you off guard. You looked up and got a very beautiful veiw of Devildom, "You like the view?" He spoke to you which earned him your attention.
You just nodded and got lost in his golden eyes, "Y/N, how would you feel if there was a fourth man in your life?" He asked with a low voice. You blinked your fuchsia eyes as you looked at him in confusion, "What do you mean?" You replied with a question of your own.
"I can't hide it anymore, Y/N. Ever since that day you helped me fight those creatures, I couldn't help but fall for you. I tried to reason with myself that it's wrong because you're married. However and with each passing day, I couldn't stop thinking about you... I couldn't help but love you."
You were speechless when you heard him, it felt so strange... so new.
You can't hide your feelings, you also enjoyed his company. He was very special as in personality, so curious and cheerful. You chuckled and placed your hands on his cheeks, "You silly baka." You smiled and planted a small kiss on hils lips.
"Replying to your previous question, I believe it would be a great addition to have a fourth man in my life."
You laughed as you saw him looking at you with dumbfounded look while blushing madly. It took him a few seconds for him to process what you said before a big goofy smile formed on his lips, "For real? Thank you so much, I will love you forever and ever!" He exclaimed and hugged you tightly, you laughed and hugged him back.
You both remained there mid-air, hugging each other as the moon shone its beautiful silver ray at you. Sure, it was such a delicate confession.
