Everyone turns around with varying expressions. Realization to what was supposed to happen earlier, shock, and fear alike. Rapunzel and I turn around quickly when Flynn quickly rips us off the table and out of sight. He had snatched Rapunzel's frying pan and my crossbow right before Greno and the guards came back. The old, small guy that Rapunzel was once holding is now back on the ground with everyone else as we hide behind the counter trying not to be seen.

HG: "Where's Rider and L/n, where are they?"

I can hear the footsteps stomping closer to us as the man checks behind the counter, but doesn't see anything.

HG: "I know they're in here somewhere. Find them. Turn the place upside down if you have to."

He slams his hand on the wooden board right over our heads. The three of us are backed up against the small counter wall trying to breathe as quietly as we can. We hear some banging and crashing as he walks away trying to find us. Flynn looks over the counter and he sees someone or should I say two someones in cuffs. He ducks down and mouths, "Brothers." I looked at him in fear and mouthed back, "Are you serious?" He nodded as a hook was now between us and touching both of your shoulders. All three of us looked up and saw Hook Hand making a gesture with his eyes to the space in front of us. A moment later he comes behind the bar with us as other ruffians come and shield the counter from the guards' views. He pushes down a lever which opens up a secret passage. All four of us crawl towards it to stay low. As we look into it, it's a crawl space that will later open up to a larger tunnel.

HH: "Go. Live your dreams."

F: "I will."

HH: "Your dream stinks. I was talking to them."

Flynn makes a face and starts crawling down as Rapunzel kisses him on the cheek.

R: "Thanks for everything."

Y: "Thank you so much."

We both then start crawling down as Hook Hand smiles at us.

We have been walking down the tunnel for about five minutes. We are now in a much more open space and can walk instead of crawl. We pass by a skeleton, who has clearly been down here for far too long, with a sword in between its ribs pinning it to the cave wall.

Flynn, who grabbed an unused lantern off the wall, and I were walking side by side and Rapunzel was walking a few steps behind us. She was off in space somewhere looking way too excited after what went on.

F: "Well, I've got to say, I didn't know you had that in you back there. That was pretty...impressive."

R: "I know!"

Flynn and I jump back for a moment at the sudden outburst. She shakes her head for a second before speaking in a much calmer, "It was no big deal," voice.

R: "I know."

Flynn and I smirk at each other then smile at her before turning back around and kept walking.

R: "So... Y/n, Flynn? Where are you two from?"

Y: "Umm."

F: "Whoa whoa! Sorry, Blondie, we don't do back story."

Y: "However, we are becoming very interested in yours. Now, I know we aren't supposed to mention the hair."

R: "Nope."

Y: "Or the mother."

R: "Uh-uh."

F: "Frankly, I'm too scared to ask about the frog."

Y and R: "Chameleon."

F: "Nuance. Here's my question, though, if you want to see the lanterns so badly why haven't you gone before."

All three of us stop as Flynn and I turn and look at Rapunzel. I knew for a fact it was her mother who wouldn't let her go, but there has to be a reason behind it other than "protection." I look at Rapunzel with a raised brow and Flynn has a questioning look on his face as he doesn't know. I did tell him about her never leaving, but I don't think he listened because he was more worried about us leaving her tower at the time.

R: "Uh...heh...Well...

Rapunzel looked nervous and looked at Pascal to see if he had an answer, but likewise he did not. She closed her eyes tight and sighed before looking at us with a blank face and smile as if it cleared all of our heads of the question. Even though this was a question that would continue to make us wonder what was so special about her. She couldn't leave for a big reason, and I was determined to find out why.

R: "You know what, another story for another day. You two know more about me than I know about you."

Rapunzel starts walking in front of us and Flynn and I take that as our cue to start following her.

Y: "You have a couple of questions or something?"

R: "Yes. What exactly are you two?"

Y: "What do you mean?"

R: "Why are you two thieves? Clearly it must be for a good reason to have a lot of people looking for you."

Flynn and I look at each other before looking at Rapunzel.

Y: "That's none of your concern."

R: "It might be if I have to run from them too."

Y: "As you said, another story for another day."

R: "Mhm. Well at least answer this, what are you two to each other?"

Flynn and I looked at her confused again.

F: "We are best friends since childhood."

Y: "Why do you ask?"

We continue on walking and there isn't much tunnel left ahead of us. Flynn and I are still side by side, but Rapunzel is now walking in front but backwards so she can face us.

R: "I thought you two were together. It was the little things that made me think-"

F: "Ok wait a minute."

Y: "What little things? We are very clearly platonic."

R: "Well, I don't know, you two always seem to be looking out for each other, by each other all the time, and always talk about yourselves together and not separated. Besides you Y/n, with your part in that place."

She turned around facing forward and I could see a ghost of a small smirk she had on as well as Pascal. I held a nervous expression along with Flynn as we realized she was watching us more closely than we thought. She was pointing out things that we thought were platonic, but to her I suppose it wasn't. But, I'm not sure if I want to take relationship advice from a girl who never saw the outside world. She probably thinks true love's kiss is a thing. I looked at him for a moment until a rock fell on my head. We were nearing the end of the tunnel when all of a sudden, it felt like an earthquake was happening. The rocks on the ground were shaking as well as a burnt out lantern on the wall next to us.

R: "Uh, Y/n?"

We hear pounding from behind us, and we look back to see a light getting closer and closer. The guards are running towards us and the head guard is in front with a massive torch in hand. We stand frozen in fear for a moment before we eventually snap out of it once Rapunzel calls us again.

R: "Flynn?"

HG: "Rider, L/n!"

Y: "Really?!"

F: "Run, run!"

Still in a slump but had this much of a draft. Not sure when I am going to post again since I have to START reading my summer book and finish my math packet even though I only have like 10 days left to do it 😭 Fml
