A/n - Hey yall. Appeared from the grave and pulled this outta my ass 😍

I'm not exactly sure what got me to this point in my life as I'm running away from the kingdom's guards. It's either Flynn and I thieving together for the past 16 years or Rapunzel wanting to go see the lanterns. I'm blaming both of them.

Right now, Rapunzel and I are running side by side with Flynn behind us. Rapunzel is carrying most of her hair so she doesn't fall behind us because of the extra weight.

After a minute we run out an opening that leads to
a large dam above us. Above us on our right is some wooden contraption that brings the water out slowly to distribute it, with a wooden path that goes down to the bottom of the gorge.

We look down over the ledge where theres a small wooden ladder held to the ledge by rope. They could easily cut it, so we can't go down there. We look over and see an opening in the rock wall. That was our best option. We look over to the left and hear wood breaking when all of a sudden Flynn and I's best buds, Patchy and Sideburns emerge from the boarded up cave. They look around and they eventually spot us. They don't look happy. Lovely.

R: "Who's that?"

E: "They don't like us."

Behind us we hear thundering footsteps, and the guards emerge from the cave we just came from.

R: "Who's that?"

Y: "They don't like us either."

The horse from Flynn and I's nightmares then shows up from the guards, and he certainly does not look happy.

R: "Who's that?!"

Flynn then straightens Rapunzel up so she can focus.

F: "Let's just assume for the moment that everyone in here doesn't like us."

Rapunzel then drops her hair and slams the pan into Flynn's hands. Like a lasso, she wraps the end of her hair around a broken wood beam, tightens it, and then almost heroically swings to the other ledge across from us safely. Despite Flynn and I's admiration, we just wish she could have taken us across too. We hear chuckling behind us as we gasp and turn around. We see the guards approaching us menacingly.

HG: "I've waited a long time for this."

Y: "Sixteen years to be exact."

Flynn makes a noise of fear as he realizes the only weapon of defense he has is the frying pan. Of course, I try to keep my distance to have a better reload time with the crossbow, and I'm not that good with hand to hand combat. However, I have Flynn's back when it's turned and I take out two guards that are behind him. He knocks out the other two pretty swiftly.

Y: "Not bad, Rider."

F: "Oh, mama! I have got to get me one of these!"

A sword is then turned his way, to which he replies with a "Ha!" and turning the frying pan to the opponent. Only to realize it is the horse that seems to beat all the guards at their jobs. As they have their battle, I try and take shots at the horse's legs, but miss every time. I notice that Rapunzel
is watching us from afar and looks really worried. She looks at me, points at her hair, wraps it around her waist, and then points at me. I nod and put my crossbow over my shoulder, and signal for her to throw her hair over. As she does, the battle between man and horse continues.

F: "You should know that this is the strangest thing I've ever done!"

At that moment, the horse knocks the pan out of Flynn's hand. At that point, I had Rapunzel's hair tied around my waist and was ready to grab Flynn and jump when the time was right.

F: "How about two out of three?"

The horse pointed the point of the sword up to Flynn's neck when I yelled his name. The two of them look my way as I tackled Flynn, and I jumped off the cliff with him screaming. The horse's face drops in shock as well as his jaw, which makes the sword clatter to the ground.

We swing down, but when Rapunzel tells us to look out, the Stabbington are swiping their swords at us hoping to cause any damage to us. Flynn and I swing our legs in anyway to try and get us away from them. I hear Rapunzel grunt, and suddenly we were lifted higher just out of their reach.

Y: "Thanks Rapunzel!"

F: "Ha! You should see your faces cause you look..."

Y: "Flynn!"

We both practically fold in half when our stomachs collide with a wooden board sticking out of a wall.

F: "...ridiculous."

I start climbing up the board and pull Flynn up too. We see the horse knock over a wooden beam that connected to the dam, seeing as water started spurting out. Oh no...

Flynn and I run up the wooden irrigation system that had water streaming down it calmly. Flynn was holding the end of her hair that is no longer around my waist.

Y: "Come on, blondie!"

F: "Jump!"

The horse runs to her and does a sliding stop right before the very edge as Rapunzel jumps off the cliff. Almost in slow motion, the horse reaches out for Rapunzel's hair with his teeth, barely missing. Rapunzel swings down and lands in a little pool. Flynn drops her hair, and the Stabbington brothers chase after her, much to our dismay. Flynn picks me up and holds me bridal style as he slides down the irrigation path, so we can get to Rapunzel as fast as possible. At some point, I hop down and grab onto a post sticking out and he does the same. We start jumping onto falling beams and eventually hit the ground safely, right behind Rapunzel. I snatch up the ends of her hair and run as fast as possible with Flynn close behind.

We hear water rushing and wood breaking, but we don't look behind us yet to not slow down. We hears screams from the brothers, and realize it isn't too far behind us. We run to the cave the brothers came from as it is closest exit we have. A massive shadow overseers the rock wall quickly, but we don't look at what it is. We run in, with Rapunzel's scream, and the frying pan luckily washes up at the entrance. Flynn grabs it right before the enormous rock blocks the entrance, splashing water at Flynn. This effectively traps us.

A/n: Ik it's a plot hole with the brothers coming from the cave and it suddenly being a dead end. Plot hole from the writers and animators point, not me.
