Riptide Part 2

"So, how was your walk" Clint asked them as soon as they got back
"It was pretty fun" Layla answered
"It was good" Nat added looking over at Wanda having a moment of eye contact. They sat on the picnic blanket again and Layla left to go play with Cooper.

"So, we wanted to ask you both, if you'd like to stay here with us for tonight" Laura suggested to Nat and Wanda

"Yes, of course" Nat agreed to the idea
"I would love to, but I haven't got any clothes or pajamas with me" Wanda said a little disappointed
"It's ok, you can borrow mine, I've left some clothes here in case of an unexpected visit" Nat replied immediately keeping eye contact with Wanda
"Oh, uh thank you Nat" She said nervously
"Only problem is that there's only one bed, I hope you don't mind sharing it" Laura explained
"I'm completely fine with it, but if Wanda feels uncomfortable I can take the couch" Nat offered
"No, no it's ok" Wanda said slightly blushing
"Great, the kids are going to be very happy" Clint said

"Auntie Wanda, come play with us" Cooper and Layla shouted
Wanda turned to Natasha
"Go" Nat said with a smile gazing at her as she walk over to the kids.
Clint came closer to her and pushed her with his elbow
"So you and Wanda huh"
"What?"
"Oh come on, I see the way you look at each other"
"Clint, even if I like her, she's already dating Vision"
"Oh, yeah I'm sorry Nat" he said giving her a hug
"it's ok"

After a while they headed back to the house. Laura put clean sheets on the bed the two women were going to sleep in.
"Dinner will be ready in a few minutes" Clint shouted from the kitchen
They all went to the kitchen and sat on the table waiting for him to serve the spaghetti.

"So, Wanda" Clint started
"Yeah?" she responded putting ketchup on her food
"How are you and vision doing?" he asked, because he wasn't really around the compound anymore, spending time with his family
"I uh, we're good, yeah" she said nervously
Natasha noticed the question made Wanda uncomfortable so she tried to change the subject
"Layla do you want to show your drawings to auntie wanda later?"
"Yes!" Layla said happy
"I would love to see them" Wanda smiled

They finished dinner and after Layla took Wanda in her room to show her the drawings, she went back to the room she was going to share with natasha. Nat had just come out of the shower in her robe.
"She has talent" Wanda told her surprised
"She does, doesn't she. I'm sure she didn't get it from Clint" Natasha joked
"Oh and here are your clothes" she added handing her an oversized t-shirt, some pants and long socks
"Thanks" she said and went into the bathroom

When Wanda was done, Natasha was sat on the bed with her hair braided, on her phone.
"Are my clothes comfortable?" she asked looking up at Wanda with a smile
"Yeah they're really comfortable" she responded drying her hair with a towel
"You can keep them, I have many clothes. Do you want me to braid your hair?"
Wanda nodded. Nat patted a spot on the bed in front of her and Wanda sat there. Natasha started brushing her hair.
"Can I tell you something?" wanda asked softly as natasha braided her hair
"Mhm" she answered finishing wandas braid
Wanda turned to face Nat
"Well, me and Vision broke up"
"I'm so sorry" Nat said taking wandas hand
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Wanda shook her head
"Not tonight"
"I'm here when you're ready"
"Thank you"
"Do you want to watch a movie?" Nat suggested trying to cheer her up
"Yeah sure"

Nat turned the TV on putting a random movie and turned the lights off. Wanda fell asleep on Nat's shoulder after a while.

An hour later Nat was starting to fall asleep too, when the door opened and the figure of a little girl walked in.

"Hey, what are you doing up?" Natasha whispered to her
"I can't sleep" she whispered back rubbing her eye
"Come here"

Layla climbed on the bed and cuddled on Nat's side
"Good Night auntie Nat"
"Good night baby"
Layla fell asleep very quickly

Nat closed her eyes smiling. This is all she could ask for
