Chris' pov:
I don't know why I push Astrid away, I do truly love her. I want the best for us but I also want to make her happy. I want to be the person who makes her happy.
We decided to meet at her favorite cafe, the place we would go at sunrise after talking through the night. I order an Uber and get to the cafe a bit late, I see her sitting down through the window. She seems to be crying a bit and it makes my heart ache.
As I walk in I feel like everyone is staring at me, even though nobody is. She looks up at me still a bit teary eyed "hey Chris..." she says "sorry I'm a bit late" I tell the girl "don't worry, I just got here not to long ago" she replies
I take a sit across from her and see she already ordered me a drink "I- what should we talk about first" I ask "why did you run out, I know I shouldn't have said anything but-" she says then I cut her off "I'm so sorry, I was just not expecting it. I got a little freaked out" I say
"Oh.. well, what do you want to be?" She asks again "Astrid, I would be lying if I told you I knew the answer. I love you so much and I don't think I could live without you, I just don't want to hurt you again." I say and she smiles a bit, confusing me "Chris, I love you too but I don't want to be with you if you are thinking about a 'what if we break up' I just want you to be there for me. If we are together or not"
We get out of the cafe and hug "let's go on a date once, if we feel the same way after we will get back together. What do you think of that?" I ask her "good idea, let's go to the park" she says I get into her car and we drive to the park. After getting out we go to the playground and get on the structure "weee" Astrid says while sliding down making me chuckle a bit.
After a while we end up on the swings just talking. A boy about our age comes up to us "hey, can I get your snap?" He asks Astrid "I- uh" I cut her off "sorry dude she has a boyfriend already." I say which scares him off
"Haha thanks" she says smiling "I think I want to try again Astrid, I love you so much and I want to be able to tell people your mine and I want to be one of the people that makes you happy." I tell her but she turns away "do you not feel the same" I ask her
She stand up still facing away from me then she turns around and I see a huge smile on her face. Next thing I know Astrid runs at me and hugs me, we fall to the floor but our legs are still in the swing. We burst out laughing and then stare into each others eyes, she kisses me and I kiss back "I've missed that so much" she says to me making me smile even more "I love you so much" I tell her
"I love you more"
