"Aaaaaaannnd...Thaaaaaaaaatt'sss...CORRECT!" Monokuma exclaimed, "correct, correct, correct! The blackened responsible for killing the Ultimate Affluent Progeny, Byakuya Togami, was the Ultimate Cook, Teruteru Hanamura!"
"no...nonono...nonononono..." Teruteru, foaming at the mouth, continued to shake violently, in defeat, denial and disbelief. Mahiru looked at him, unable to muster any words for the stout perverted chef, but she could feel her face curl into a look of sadness and pity.
"A-Are you serious...!?" Fuyuhiko growled through grit teeth, "out of everyone; of EVERYONE, on this DAMN island that could be a killer...it's THIS pretentious little ponce!?"
"B-But...B-But...!" Nekomaru trembled, before suddenly bursting into tears "WWWHHYYYYYYYYY!!? WHY DID YOU KILL HIM!?"
"I-It was a mistake...!" Teruteru, fixing his accent and forming his words, replied, "it was all a huge, awful mistake, I'm telling you...!"
"What, you mean you ACCIDENTALLY made a murder plan!?" Mahiru snapped, finally finding the right words, "pull the other one!"
"Th-That's not what I meant!" Teruteru pleaded, sobbing uncontrollably, "I-I was only trying to save you guys!"
Everyone froze.
"H-Huh? Wh-What do you mean you were trying to save us? Y-You killed someone!" Hajime snapped.
"N-Nagito!" Teruteru exclaimed, "I-I was trying to stop Nagito from killing one of you!"
Everyone's attention briefly turned to Nagito, who looked dismissive, with his arms crossed. Since no one tried to stop him, Teruteru elaborated.
"I-I was in the old building all day preparing for the party, a-and then...I heard a w-weird laughter in the dining hall...then wh-when I looked over...I saw him...I saw Nagito in the middle of cleaning duty putting the knife under the table. I had a bad feeling about it, so I kept an eye on him, and I saw him place with the irons and mess with the AC too! Plus...he was grinning...! Just the entire time, grinning to himself, like he was having fun!"
Mahiru didn't know whether to believe Teruteru's words, but they sounded VERY legit. She shot Nagito a glare, but he didn't reply.
"Well...why didn't you stop him?" she asked Teruteru.
"I...I did intervene eventually. I questioned him!" Teruteru said, "b-b-but when I did...he...he...!"
"Oh? I've been caught?"
"B-Been caught...? What are you doing!? What are you scheming!?"
"...I'm planning to kill someone of course."
"Huh?"
"Teruteru...just to let you know, it's pointless to try and stop me. Even if you do succeed in stopping me now, I'm not about to give up. Whether it's tomorrow, the day after, or the day after that, or any days coming...I WILL definitely start the Killing Game."
"Wh-What!? N-No, listen here! No matter how much you may want to leave this island, that's-!"
"I see...so that's how you think of this? I regret to inform you that that's really not what this is about. I don't care for my survival one bit. I just...want the killing to start."
"Do you have any idea what you're saying right now!?"
"Of course I do. I love everyone here, and because of that, I want to be of used to everyone."
"By GETTING US ALL KILLED!?"
"Of course not. I love all the Ultimate's...and I admire them for being the symbols of Hope. That's why...I don't want them to lose against something like this Killing Game. I want everyone to prove to me the very thing that I've revolved my whole life around. The class between Hope and Despair, and to see TRUE Hope triumph by a landslide!"
