Overview
Yanfei is a 4 star Pryo Catalyst Main DPS, with her damage highly focused on charged attacks. With C4, you can build "Tankfei" as a very decent and reliable shielder.

As for Talent Priorities, Normal Attack > Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill (Note: Do NOT level any talents if you are only runnng tankfei, talents doesnt contribute much. But even with HP build, Yanfei still does ok damage with HP% crit pieces)
- Artifacts
1a. Crimson Witch of Flames 4p (One of her BIS artifact, best used in overload or vaporize teams) 1b. Wanderer's Troupe 4p (Another BIS, could be used in mono pryo or vaporize teams) 2. 2p combination of: Crimson Witch of Flames, Wanderer's Troupe, 18% attack (generalist set) 3. Emblem of Severed Fate 2p + Tenacity of the Millelith 2p (Best set for Tankfei, helps with ER and HP) 4. Noblesse Oblige 4p (could be used if no one in your party has the 4p)
Artifact Main stats
Dps- Sands: ATK% or EM Goblet: Pryo Damage % Circlet: Crit Rate/Damage or ATK% (only use attack% if your crit stats are good enough)
Recommended Attack: 1800 + Recommended ER: 150%
Tankfei- Sands: ER% or HP% (Use HP% if ER is enough from substats) Goblet: HP% Circlet: HP%
Recommended HP: 25-30K for ER sands Recommended ER: 200 - 220%
- Weapons
5* 1. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds ; bis 5 star, passive useful since Yanfei needs more field time compared to Klee 2. Kagura's Verity ; stat stick weapon 3. Skyward Atlas ; attack% stat stick 4. Memory of Dust ; needs shield, another attack% stat stick
4* 1. The Widsith ; her best 4* weapon, crit dmg stat is useful for crit ratios and passive useful 2a. Solar Pearl ; crit rate stat stick, passive works fine 2b. Dodoco Tales ; passive buffs charged attack for yanfei 3. Blackcliff Agate ; best in aoe scenarios with lots of enemies 4. Oathsworn Eye ; attack% stat stick, lowers ER requirements to 0%, please use above weapons if you have them
(Note: For Tankfei, the only weapons i recommend are Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers for the 48% attack buff to teammates, and Prototype amber to squeeze in a bit of heals. ER weapons work too but building ER sands with 2p emblem + ER substats is enough for her)
- Teams Yanfei is a selfish on field DPS, she will require lots off off field sub-DPS characters to support her. She mainly has 2 playstyles.
Yanfei Vaporize Yanfei ; Yelan ; Zhongli/ Xingqiu ; Bennett (This team focuses on letting yanfei vape her charge attacks as well as burst and skill. Zhongli or Xingqiu can be used to help with consistent charge attacks + interruption resistance)
Yanfei Overload Yanfei ; Beidou ; Fischl ; Sucrose (With high off field electro dps characters, Yanfei could overload most of her attacks. Crimson 4p is recommended here.)
As for Tankfei, she could be fit in practically any team, but here are some recommendations.
Itto Mono Geo Yanfei ; Itto ; Gorou ; Albedo/Geo MC (Yanfei can be a cheap option for people to have a decent shielder. She can help generate some crystallized shields too)
Hutao VV Vaporize Yanfei ; Hutao ; Yelan/Xingqiu ; Kazuha (Yanfei helps apply pryo for kazuha to swirl VV and buff Pryo DMG, as well as protecting hutao with her shield)
- End Yanfei is a very decent 4 star unit, with good utility at high constellations and high damage output for a 4 star unit, having access to Vaporize and Overload. She is a fun unit with a unique playstyle, which is easy to comprehend for newer players. I hope everyone has a lot of fun with her! Happy Birthday Yanfei!
