Chapter 12

At the lookout headquarters, Joshie stood by the window, looking at the city in all its beauty. He wasn't doing great, he watched his friends disappear right in front of him and now, Chase and Joshie are the only ones left to save their friends. Chase came downstairs to see Joshie just standing by the window, looking upset. Chase decided to grab a Twix bar from the Twix bar dispenser to give to Joshie.

Chase: here, a Twix bar for you Joshie

Joshie: thanks Chase

Chase: of course, anything to help you feel better

Joshie: *grabs the candy bar and then sighs*

Chase: you worried about Ryder, Dr. Diane, and the pups?

Joshie: yes, I almost saved them but, I didn't. I guess Walter is right about me, I'm just a problem waiting to mess up and be hated *chokes up* i..i..I'm nothing

Chase: that's not true, you tried your best to save them, but we can always try again. I'll we need to do is find away to get inside that building over there *points over to the big news building*

Joshie: how?

Chase: hmmmm I got it. There's probably going to be some guards by the entrance, I'm going to distract the guards, while you go save everyone and run out of there

Joshie: that is an excellent idea!

Chase: glad you like it buddy

Joshie: do you think it's going to work though?

Chase: I'm not sure, but I'm positive that it could

Joshie: and if it doesn't?

Chase: I promise, it's going to work. Don't think about the negatives Joshie, think positive

Joshie: I'm just worried that if it doesn't work, they'll hurt our friends and........................*chokes up and sniffling* we'll never see them again

Chase: no it's going to work bud, you'll see. And Joshie?

Joshie: w..what?

Chase: your not a burden or a problem. You don't get in the way of anything and you're a great person Joshie. Remember, we love you just the way you are. Even if you have your struggles, you make the most of it. Not to mention you are really unique in your own Joshie way

Joshie: Joshie way? Rocky told me that too

Chase: yeah and it's because it's true. We love you because of your humor, your heart of gold, seeing things in your own way like, the whole world. And of course, your very creative with your stories and your drawings that you draw, and then show to us. We really love you buddy so much

Joshie: *took out the friendship bracelet*

Chase: did Rocky give you the same bracelet? cause he gave everyone a friendship bracelet

Joshie: yeah, he did

Chase: see? That shows how much we love you Joshie, we don't see you as whatever they say about you, we see you as part of the family and our best friend. With the power of friendship, I give you a hug

He gave Joshie a big hug and Joshie smiled from cheek to cheek. He finally realized that the PAW patrol, no matter what, loved him so much and wouldn't believe that reporter, saying all the things he said about him. They broke the hug as Joshie was smiling, which made Chase smile.

Joshie: thank you Chase, I'm really glad to have friends like you

Chase: anytime buddy, anytime. Now what do you say we save our friends?
