WAS IT NECESSARY to actually leave her behind and be on babysitting duties? Looking around the whole base, she couldn't help but ask if the security personnel which was, mind you, flooding the whole place not enough to protect the adolescent idiots? Were they as childlike and immature like what they had shown her earlier with all the damage that they did to their initial room?

“Lead the way, Umbra.” she muttered as she followed the black cat around the hallway.

Due to being left behind, literally, she had to locate the new quarters where the six mutants had been transferred to. She was supposed to be escorted there by another agent but she refused, telling them she'd rather have her personal guide have her reach her destination than a grown man to ask her questions.

Entering another courtyard, she glanced at the new surrounding. There wasn't a statue this time, or a large empty ground, instead there were some stone chairs that scattered around the grassy bit of the place.

“You were supposed to lead me to the door, not the window.” Veni sighed.

Umbra only meowed at her then motioned at the rectangular space that had two men messing around there. And unluckily for them, she was too tired to go back the other way that leads to the door so she approached them.

“... No? Come on, let's see the foot.” one of them said, or more like teased.

Foot? Didn't Charles say one of the mutants had his foot affected by his mutation? Veni thought. Were these morons bullying those inside the room?

“Excuse me, bastards. Holy witch coming through.” she pushed past the two, intentionally bumping on his shoulder.

With the broom still tightly gripped in her hands, she positioned it backwards.

“What are you doin—” he couldn't complete his question, jumping back in fright as the glass surprisingly shattered into pieces with the blow the girl had sent.

Veni blankly entered the room, ignoring the shocked look from the mutants. Reaching the bottom, she turned around to face the two.

“I could get you sued—”

“Did you know witches could actually curse a family line? Shocking right? Now, I would advise you to get out of here before I perform the chant, you perverted bitch.”

He only laughed.

So Veni muttered a spell to repair the window, earning a shocked look from him. She took a threatening step closer even with the window now back to separate them from the outside.

“Oh I'm not playing, old man. And trust me when I say that curses aren't as funny as they make it seem like on children's stories.” she smirked as he scrambled away from the scene, his friend following closely with a horrified expression.
