Really?!

This sounds very annoying. You're wasting the rest of your life waiting for a new chapter, only to realize that its discontinued or completed.

Let's have a pep talk.

Stories marked 'Ongoing' means that the story is still in progress. That applies to stories still in working, or in hiatus.

Like my 'piggy characters x reader'.

I marked it 'Ongoing' because I am still working on it

I marked it 'Ongoing' because I am still working on it. I may not update all the time but at least its still on progress.

If you are in hiatus, you can mark it 'Ongoing' if you are still planning to update someday.

Stories marked 'Complete' means that the story is complete, or discontinued.

So you may ask: why do people mark discontinued stories 'Complete' even though it's not complete yet?

It's because, they are not planning to update the said story anymore. Reasons may be personal, lost interest in the fandom, or they have no motivation to continue anymore.

Try to imagine this: You don't want to update a story but it's marked 'Ongoing', and people keep on spamming you to update, and you just said you don't wanna update.

Why are they not listening, you may ask?

It's because they're clever clogs, knowing that it's labelled 'Ongoing'

So anyways, if you already completed a story, or planning to discontinue it, please mark it 'Complete'.

For first timers here, you can just find that option here:

Turn that on, so that people know that your story is complete, or they'll bug you nonstop (for the naughty ones)
