A motage of battles and Ned evolved into a Kakuna and learned harden.
Dr. Watts learned quick attack and double team.
Meowth learned, fake out, growl, feint and scratch.
MEOWTH;(looks at his paws in disbelief)Whoa, I can feel it Kid.
Don't worry, I won't restrict our Pokémon to only having 4 moves.
"Well that's great. Let's leave this forest"

With that, you both go to leave the forrest when you come across
That samurai guy. He challenged you.
You accept the challenge.
He brought out his 1 st pokémon, which was metapod(if it wasn't)Oh well.
You obviously bring out Ned because of plot.
The inevitable Hardin off.
Soon he switched it out for pincer. You switch Ned out for Dr. Watts.
"Use quick attack"
It made direct contact but barely did any thing and Dr. Watts was taken down in 1 move.

You then begrudgingly bring Ned back in.
Samurai has him use vise grip and it forced Ned to evolve. Ned learned fury attack which he used in defense and it hit twice and didn't do much at all.
Pincer attacked again. Ned dodged it but inevitably the Samurai won.
You went back to the Pokémon center. Then noticed a different path.
"Maybe it's a way around the forests"
You find some tall grass and find.
Nidoran Female.
You just throw a poké-ball at her.

Pops out of Poké-ball.
"Almost had her"
You then have Meowth use fury swipes. It does some damage.
"Use fake out"
He does that but it failed.
"What happened?"
MEOWTH;Oh, maybe it only works with da 1 st move or something.
"I guess so"
You say with a shoulder shrug.
