We walk into the theater. Abby and Momona immediately run up to us. They're both super pretty...Prettier than me. But I'm not like jealous or anything. Walker can have pretty friends. I mean, we aren't even dating or anything, so who the hell cares what I think?

"Hi!" Momona says, "You're Kady, right?"

"Yeah." I smile.

"I'm Momona. Walker talks about you sooo much! It's cool to finally meet you."

"You too!"

"I'm Abby." She gives me a small wave.

"We should go in...the movie's gonna start soon." Momona points to a big open door.

We start following Abby and Momona into the room.

I grab onto Walker's arm, "Your friends are so cool!" I whisper.

"Mhmm." He looks away from me.

I let go of his arm and keep walking. Why'd he do that? Did I say something wrong? Like it's probably nothing...He just seemed weird. We all sit down in the fourth row, and the previews start.

"I'm gonna go get some drinks-"

"Can I come?" I ask.

It's not like I don't want to be here alone with Abby and Momona...I guess it would be a bit awkward...but that's not it. I just don't want Walker to get like kidnapped or something.

"Yeah." He grabs my arm and literally yanks me out of my seat.

"Walker, you are gonna rip her arm off." Momona jokes.

"Sorry." He laughs.

Walker and I run to the drink/food counter and get slushie things.

"What flavor are you getting?" He asks, pouring the red one into his cup.

"I don't know! Ugh, which one should I get?"

He shrugs and takes a sip of his drink.

"Can I taste yours?"

"No."

I scoff, "You're so mean."

He playfully rolls his eyes, "Fine."

I grab the slushie thing from him and take a sip.

"Okay, I'm getting that one."

"Wonderful."

"I know, right?" I say dramatically.

I turn around and notice a super cute boy staring at me. We make eye contact for a second, and then he looks away. He talks to his friends for a moment and then starts walking up to us. Walker notices too and wraps his arm around me.

"Walkerrr."

"Come on. We're gonna miss the movie." He says.

I stop and turn to him.

What the heck? I-he-that super cute guy was about to come to talk to me, and Walker just ruined it. And I honestly wouldn't mind that...if Walker actually liked me back. But he doesn't, right? And I really don't want to ruin our friendship by telling him....so that tall brown-haired boy over there is the next best thing.

"What?" He asks.

"Don't play dumb. You know what."

"No...I don't."

"Walker," I sigh.

He glances at the boy and then back at me. He knows exactly what I'm talking about.

I walk over to the boy and stop in front of him.

"Hi, can I get your number?"

He smiles, "Sure. I'm Matt, by the way."

"Kady."

Wow, I honestly wasn't expecting him to say yes. I should do this more often.

Matt writes his number on a piece of paper and hands it to me.

"Thanks," I say.

"Later."

I go back over to Walker, and he goes back to not making eye contact with me. He looks freaking depressed...now I feel bad.

"Sorry." We both mumbles as we approach the big doors.

"W-why are you sorry?"

"I don't know. But you look sad, so I'm apologizing."

He laughs, "I'm not sad."

"You look sad."

"Well, I'm not."

"Me either. Cause, I jUsT gOt A cUtE gUyS nUmBeR." I smile.

"Kady, you don't even have a phone-"

"Oh my God. You're right. I'm such an idiot."

He starts dying. Right there. In the hallway.

"Shut up!" I grin.

I put my hands on his shoulders, "Pull it together, Walker."

He nods, still smiling.

We walk into the room and sit back in our seats.
