"Mommy look! Ate Sera is the top one dean's lister!" she said happily. "We should throw a party!"

"Huwag na, Crissy. I'm not fond of parties." I smiled and carefully put the table napkin on the table. We were having dinner together when Criselda found out about the news. Hindi ko nga alam kung saan niya iyon nakuha.

Father is here too, together with Marcus and Liam. Pero parang wala lang kay papá ang ibinalita ni Crissy. It stings my heart but I eventually shrugged it off. He just don't care. Siguro kung nandito lang si mamá... I'm sure... I'm sure she will be very happy.

"But-"

"I strongly agree, Criselda darling. It is a waste of money naman." Carmina sip on her wine and looked at me while her brows are furrowed. "And I must say, Good job, young lady. You did it well in school.." she said and continued eating her carbonara.

I small smile formed in my lips. Pakiramdam ko ay nawala ang mabigat na bagay sa puso ko. That is why I can't completely hate Carmina. Even though we are not in good terms, she would always praise me for my achievements in my life. Pinaparamdam niya naman sa akin na may maganda din akong nagawa sa buhay ko. At least she played that part well like a mother.

"What gift do you want me to bigay?" Criselda shaked my arms.

"An animal will do, Crissy." I answered.

"What kind of animal ba 'yan? Dog? Cat?" she asked again. "Or crocodile na lang?"

My eyebrows furrowed. "What would I do with a crocodile? Let myself be its food? No, thanks." umiling-uling ako at natatawa sa kanyang suhestyon. "A dog and a cat is enough."I stood up to excuse myself.

"Excuse me."

Umalis na ako sa dining room at umakyat na sa kwarto. I need to take a nap. Kagagaling ko lang sa Palawan with Rai using the cruise I gave to her. Ewan ko ba sa babaeng 'yon at palagi na lang akong sinasama sa mga lakad niya. She just loved dragging me everywhere she go.

Rai texted me just now and ask me what do I want as a gift.

Pero imbes na matulog na ay umupo na lamang ako sa swivel chair at nag-browse sa laptop. My eyes won't close! As if like they had their own mind too!
