Binding for the First Time

A mini guide to binding for the first time:

1. Follow everything from the chapter 'Guidelines' and familiarize yourself with 'Is This Discomfort Normal?'

2. Get a binder that is of your size; nothing even remotely smaller than that!

3. Do not try to bind for 8 hours straight. For the first two days, bind for an hour or two (sometimes even just 30min or with breaks). The next few, for four to five hours. Slowly increase the time during which your binder is on; by the end of the month, you'll feel comfortable keeping it on for 6-8hours a day.

4. Remember: try to take breaks in between. It's okay if they are just fifteen-forty minutes long but do find time to take off your binder and do some light stretches!

5. Listen to your body; if there are any bad signs do not ignore them no matter how distraught! You can always contact me, seek help from the internet and my guide, visit a doctor or ask your family for help.
