Pitter-Patter rain falls, breaking the unknown silence,
I look outside to greet the rain, I am reminded of you.

Once again I drown myself in the memories of you,
I smile stupidly thinking about you,

Pitter-Patter rain falls, droplets hitting the metal roof,
I come out of your memories, and greet the reality,

In the dewy Petrichor of post-afternoon rain,
I am reminded of you again,

Memories of you so close to me,
Telling me you are not completely gone,
Memories of you so close to me,
Making me realise you will never come back again,

The beauty and curse of time, it won't make us forget anything,
It makes us learn to live with both the happy and sad memories,

Only if I could go back in time, I would relive all those happy memories with you,
But "only if" is what lies in fantasy,

I would relive all those memories in my mind once again,
And even if I get lost, there will always be a essence of the nature waking me up to the reality.
