CHAPTER EIGHT

I had caught myself off guard by kissing their forehead. I hadn't even thought about it, I just did. I started blushing again and apologized, but they smiled and pulled my face down closer to them smiling. We were so close, but I panicked and pulled my face away suddenly. My face was entirely glowing blue, and I again apologized. They sat up and looked me in the eyes, their eyes glittering with happiness. I felt a chill go through my metallic body as they brushed my cheek with their soft hands. I couldn't help but lean into their gentle touch. Their eyes lit up when I leaned into their hand, they smiled brightly. I soon realized just how head over heels in love I was with them.
I felt so safe with them holding my face in their hand that I didn't even notice Sun walk in, until I heard salty Sundrop noises from the entrance. I took my face out of their hand and looked at Sun with a 'Yeah I'm getting more attention' kind of smile. He looked like he was about to rip the sink off of the wall to throw at me. I then stood up, helping Y/N stand up at the same time. "Someone's a little jelly~." I said, happy that I got to taunt Sun for a change. Y/N then turned to Sun and smiled happily, they walked over to him and hugged him tightly and pecked him on the cheek. I couldn't help but feel jealous myself when I saw this, but I knew what would happen if Sun saw me pouting about it. I looked away pouting anyway. Sun gave me an annoying grin as he hugged Y/N. He then kissed the top of their head as they broke the agonizingly long hug.
Y/N looked over and saw me pouting so they walked over and gave me a peck on the cheek as well. They then grabbed my hand and walked over to Sun, taking his hand as well they walking us out of the restroom. We all headed to the daycare without even saying anything. I was still blushing all the way back as we walked. I was hoping that I hadn't made things weird between Y/N and me. Once we had reached the daycare I let go of Y/N's hand and went up to my tower to charge. I was running dangerously low on power and was going to shut down very soon if I didn't get to my charging station. I started across the floor of the daycare I was about to start climbing when I saw a final charge warning. I started moving more quickly to get to my tower but I was too late and shut down. I could tell that I had just collapsed instead of freezing in place like I usually do.
