"Has your mother have any idea on where you are?"

I look at her trying to hide my surprise. She even saw her drunk and she still thinks she would care? I felt taken aback a little but refused to show it.

"No, she wouldn't even care." I say with a small laugh that makes her raise an eyebrow. I look down as her gaze scans over me.

"Im sure that's not true. What about your sister? Harper was her name?" I nod and I glance back up at her.

"I don't really know. She probably thinks that I'm just staying somewhere tonight. I normally do when we don't get along." I mumble the last part to myself and I look over at her sympathetic gaze. "But it's alright, I'm glad you showed me to the loop." I comment as a wave of dizzyness washed over me.

"How come your father hasn't done anything?" She asks and the words stung. I knew she didn't know anything about the situation, but it still felt like a punch to the stomach.

"My dad doesn't see us anymore." I say as I struggle to give her a smile and her eyes widened in panic.

"I am so sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. I should have-" Seeing her panicked fills me with hurt and I shush her in which she gives me a surprised look.

"It's fine." I say with a sincere smile and she gives me a sad one. I look down when I feel my cheeks heat up and inducing what I think is a fever more.

"Do you need anything?" She says out of the blue and I look up at her.

"No, do you?" I ask and when she gives me a confused glance I flush as I stumble for words. "I- I'm sorry, I'm so used to my mom or sister asking me things and I forgot in the moment and I'm just making this more awkward and worse the more I talk so I might shut up for now." I say and she chuckles. She pulled out her pocket watch and she seemed surprised about the time.

"Are you tired at all?" She asks and I knew that meant it had to be late. When I shake my head, she tilts hers in confusion.

"What time is it?" I ask and she raises an eyebrow.

"It's already 2 in the morning, dear, maybe you should try and lay down. It won't help calm the fever either." She points out and internally I groan at wanting to lay down.

"Alright." I say and she stands from the chair -her motherly instincts kicking in- and walked over to me, placing the back of her hand on my forehead as she sat down beside me. My chest tightens and my stomach flutters at the touch but I look away, diminishing the feeling.

"You're burning up more." She mumbles, more so to herself. "I'll be right back." She says and stands from the sofa, leaving to the kitchen. I sigh as I rub my face. I can't be falling in love with her, I can't be. I jump when I feel a hand gently lay me back and I spot her eyes on mine as she moves from behind me to beside me when she sits down by my feet. She leans over, placing a cold rag over my forehead. The cold startled me for a moment and made me feel cold. I feel her hand rub my arm assuringly as she tilts her head a bit towards me. "Are you cold?" I nod a little and she takes a blanket that was draped over the back of the chair she was originally in. The soft fabric made me think of home as she draped it on top of me, over my shoulders. Her hand brushes the side of my face as she gives me a hopeful look.

"Try to get some rest." She says and I nod, but don't close my eyes. That's the last thing I want to do. Her gaze dropped for a moment as she shifted on the sofa, bringing her legs up as she continued rubbing my arm. I start feeling a bit tired as she traces the same pattern into my arm and the warmth from her hand was enough to send me to sleep.

It was all a dream. I wasn't in the loop, I was in bed. Mom ripped the covers off sending a chill through my body when she did.

"Get up, your fathers here." She says firmly and I feel the hairs on my neck prick up.

"I don't want to go." I say as I sit up quickly in bed. "I can't go." Harper stood in the door way watching everything go down. She never said anything to let me stay, just helped me pack my things. "Harper, I don't want to go! You have to believe me, we can go to the loop together! Let's go! We don't have to go with dad!"

"Who says I'm going to dads?" She says and grins when she throws me the suitcase.

"Harper please." I cry out and she shakes her head. "Please."

"Y/n, get out here!"

I look to see dads eyes meeting mine as he gives me a grin. I can't go back. I'll die before I do. My gaze follows to a falcon resting on his shoulder. Miss Peregrine. No, she can't be.

"Miss Peregrine help!" My voice came out as a strained cry when she flew over taking my suitcase and throwing it into his car. She wants me to leave? "I'm sorry, I didn't want to be a bother."

A shake on the shoulder wakes me up and immediately I sit up, head butting whoever was looking down at me. I let out a small cry of pain while the other person rubbed their forehead. I opened my eyes and seen Miss Peregrine and immediately panicked. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there I just-"

She seems to ignore me as she brushes my tears away and lays me back down. I couldn't read her expression well and thats what worried me.

"Are you mad? I'm really sorry I didn't mean to." She gives me a hurt look that makes my chest tighten.

"Why would I be mad?" She says and I look around still afraid my father was here. "Y/n, lay back down. Everything's alright." I ly back down but she catches my gaze searching the room. "You really are stubborn." She jokes trying to lighten the mood but it failed. She sighs as she stands and kneels down in front of me, casting my gaze onto hers. She stands and I immediately panicked, not wanting to let go of her comforting gaze. I gently grab her hand and she looks back surprised.

"Could you please stay?" I say and she brushes a strand of hair away.

"I never was leaving." She says with a small smile.
