TRIGGER WARNING

"Why did you invite him over?!" I shout towards him and he rushes to explain.

"He wanted to see you and he made it sound urgent. He seems nice and all so-" I cut him off as I hear the knock on the door and a polite voice from the other end. No, it's all an act. I know it is.

"Jacob, enough." I say firmly and he glances down as I walk towards the door again. I open it as I face him again.

"Y/n, it's amazing to see you again!" He says cheerfully and I try to force a smile.

"It's nice to see you too." I say even though deep down the words sounded bitter. "Now what are you doing here?" I ask and he seemed taken aback by the tone.

"Well, that's one way to greet me." He says as he takes my hand and kisses the top of it. I swear I could hear Alma fuming with anger in the hallway. I yanked my hand away and I hear Alma walk up from behind me.

"Sir, kindly take this somewhere else." She says in a annoyed tone. "Somewhere away from the both of us."

"No, no, you don't understand. Y/n and I might have had some problems but that doesn't mean it should keep us apart." He says as he tries taking my hand again but I step away as Alma walks in front of me.

"Sir, please leave." She says in a firm tone.

"I will once y/n follows. I have urgent news that needs to be attended to." He says and I roll my eyes with a scoff. Alma glances from me to him before speaking.

"If it's so urgent, just say it now to both of us." She says as she pushes the door further away so Jacob could be seen by the staircase.

"Please, it would only be a minute." He says and before Alma could over talk I move ahead.

"Fine, but make it quick. I'll be right back." I say firmly to her in which she gives me an uneasy look before letting me out. Alma shuts the door upon request when secretly I knew she was listening from the other side.

"Y/n, it's been a while." He says and I frown. I refuse to speak to him or even call him by his name. He's nothing but an asshole.

"Now don't give me that look." He says as he tries wrapping his arms around my waist. I shove them away and now he's the one to frown. "What is it with your little problem towards me? I thought you loved me?"

"I don't love anyone who knows my father." I say simply and his frown deepens.

"Your dad is dead-"

"I know he is." I snap as my chest started burning from anger.

"Look, I'm sorry for what I've done just hear me out." He says as his hand went on my thigh and he shoved me against the door. His hand went further up and I kicked him away. Instead he slams me hard against the door as his hand went on my chest, the other on my throat holding me still. I pushed away until I heard the door open and I fell backwards. I backed away as he went towards me, and Almas taloned hands moved from behind me to in front of me when she stood.

"Get out of here." She says her voice deep with anger and he steps back outside. "Leave the loop or else." She threatens as I noticed the crossbow in her hands. He took off out of the loop and I felt Jacob help me up from behind.

"Y/n, who was he?" She says firmly but softens when she catches my gaze. "Y/n." I learned against the side of the wall thinking about what happened. Earlier seemed fine, same with yesterday. Now it's all falling apart.

"Is she alright?" I hear Enoch say from the top of the staircase. A bit more of talking while my gaze went somewhere else. I noticed my father in the kitchen with a grin on his face as he moved towards me. No, don't think about him, don't. My eyes widen though as he steps in front of me past Alma, going straight through her and I swear I could feel his hand on my arm. Either that or it's just the imprint from earlier.

"Hey little wildflower." He says his voice almost like static. I couldn't hear it well, it was grave.

"Y/n, can you hear me?" I hear her say but I can't get out of what ever is happening. I feel trapped as if-

"Enoch!" I hear Alma shout and I noticed what happened. He smack me across the face and I couldn't be more thankful. "Mr O'Connor, you will march yourself back upstairs this minute!"

"She was almost in a trance, what else should I have done!" Enoch says. She glances over at me to check me over and when she went to move her hand against me, I stopped it midway. I gently lowered it as I went upstairs and no one stopped me.

I needed to think and the only way I can is if I'm alone.

I promise I'll stop being mean to y/n soon
