Evergreen woke up and groaned, chained to a pillar in the basement. The dream she had while unconscious told her a lot, but she still had some questions that were left unanswered. She looked around her to see lit candles and a summoning ring in the middle of the floor, insane scribblings on the walls, and a familiar face guarding the door.

"Wakey wakey, sleepy head. I missed you." It was jeffery, sitting on the bottom step, watching her.

"Oh shit, hi...." Was all Evergreen could manage, feeling weak. Two children came out from the darkness with a first aid kit, a 14 year old boy who wore goggles and some kind of covering for his mouth, and a little girl in a pink dress and brown hair. The little boy had random tics, sometimes apologizing to everyone whenever they got loud or if one was particularly violent.

They both worked together to bandage up Evergreen's wounds. Who whined when they got to her ribs, and they paused. Then the little boy pressed on a spot, causing Evergreen to yelp.

"Not b-broken, at least not that I can feel. Probably a h-h-hairline at worst with some bruising." He then helped the silent little girl pack up the kit, both of them walking back into the shadows. Suddenly another pair of shoes were heard coming down the stairs as Jeffery moved out of the way, it was Edgar.

"Sticking your nose in places it doesn't belong, aren't we lass?" His tone was still gentle, but something about it sounded sinister.

"It's what I do best." Evergreen sounded out between shallow breaths, she was in pain and hardly mobile, but she was strong enough to sit up. She leaned her back against her object of restraint, looking up at Edgar.

"You know, I was trying to be nice, trying to keep you enticed but I didn't think you would get this far." Edgar paced, clearly frustrated. Something told Evergreen that she was in danger, but as she could hardly move, she was stuck.

Edgar moved over to a table next to an adjacent pillar, grabbing something that shined in the light. Evergreen focused her eyes and realized it looked like a ritualistic dagger, her heart dropping. What was he about to do?

"But now you know too much, far too much." Edgar started to sharpen the blade, and Evergreen swallowed.

"Fine, since I am about to die....Why not tell me how all of this came to be? The man, Maddison getting married." Evergreen decided to get her questions answered while she could, before the inevitable.

"I summoned Him. It wasn't who I was trying to summon, but it was enough for me." Edgar continued sharpening the blade, holding it up to the light to inspect it.

"Who were you trying to summon?" Evergreen took in a deep breath, groaning from the pain.

"I refuse to disclose that....It doesn't matter who i was trying to summon, it matters who I got." Edgar then turned around, walking closer to Evergreen.

"But maybe I can get it right this time...." As Edgar approached her and raised the blade, he was tackled top the ground.

Jeffery.

"THIS WASN'T IN THE AGREEMENT, SCOTSMAN!" He roared like a beast, bringing his own knife down onto Edgar, a scream echoing through the room.

"WHAT THE FUCK, WOODS!? WHY DID YOU STAB ME!?" Edgar screamed, trying to hold the hulking mass off of him.

"NO ONE LAYS A HAND OR BLADE ON WHAT IS MINE!" Jeffery then continued to lose his mind, repeatedly slashing at Edgar who decided to fight back with his own blade.

"YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!"

This was Evergreen's chance, slowly crawling up the stairs as they scuffled, making her way then down the hall to a room where she could hide. She could feel herself becoming weaker, her eyes becoming more heavy.

Was she about to die?

As she sat there, she just relaxed, there wasn't much she could do after all. If this was the end, she was going to accept it. Her eyes shut and she leaned against the wall, allowing sleep to start to take her when she heard someone walk up.

Two someone's to be exact.

She looked up for just a moment, and caught a glimpse of the two standing above her. It was Mr.Grossman and Maddison, Maddison leaning down to pick her up.

"My poor sweet girl....Let's get you fixed up."
