Chapter 20

After the long ride, we're now entering La Esperanza.

The car stopped in front of a big mansion. Nilingon ako ni Kuya.

“Welcome home, our Goddess,” he welcomed me.

I smiled at him at nilahad ko sa kaniya ang kanang kamay. Inabot niya naman ito't hinalikan ang likod ng aking kamay. We laughed. I missed this.

Gumaan kaunti ang aking pakiramdam, I'm home.

Sinuot ko ang sunglasses ulit. Kuya Zeus looked at me and said, “You're still into that?” He said referring to my sunglasses.

Tumango ako kaya pinabayaan niya lang ako. Sabay kaming lumabas ng sasakyan at pumasok sa gate pero nagpahuli ako ng papasok kami sa mansyon.

Binuksan ni Kuya Zeus ang pinto, I wasn't expecting how my father will welcome him.

“'Di ba sinabi ko sayo na hindi ka uuwi kung hindi mo kasama si County? Na hindi ko na siya pipiliting ipakasal sa anak ng amigo ko, sinabi mo ba ha, Zeus Leonardo?!” my father shouted at my older brother.

Nilingon ako ni Kuya kaya pumasok ako at napatingin silang lahat sa'kin. Nanlaki ang mata nilang lahat, para silang nakakita ng multo. Well, it's been four months since I ran away.

I wave at everyone, they are complete in the living room. My mother, father, and my other two siblings.  I have three siblings and I am the only girl and at the same time, the youngest. Kuya Hades is the oldest, followed by Kuya Cupid, then Kuya Zeus, and me. Mama is fond of God and Goddesses, kaya gan'to ang mga pangalan namin.

“Hala, 'andito ang ex ni Zeus!” Kuya Cupid broke the silence. Binatukan siya ni Papa.

“Aray! Joke lang, Pa. Ang seryoso niyo, eh.” He reasoned.

I missed my family.

I remove the sunglasses from my eyes. I saw how my two brothers' jaws clenched. My father's face change into a strict one while Mama came near me and hugged me. With just my look, I think they know the reason behind it.

Humikbi ako sa bisig ni mama. “I love you, anak," she said and give me a tight hug.

“Gusto kong pumunta ng lungsod... sino ang gustong sumama?” Papa said in a serious tone.

“Ako,” Kuya Hades and Kuya Cupid answered in chorus.

Dinala ako ni mama sa Sofa at umupo kami.

“Shut up, you three! You're not helping my baby. Go get some water, mga walang brain cells!” my mother yelled but before they can move, Zeus handed me a glass of water. I mouthed thank you, and he nodded and smiled. I wiped my tears.

My mother comb my hair while Papa is beside Mama, he didn't glance at me. I can see that he's guilty. He might be blaming himself now because I ran away because of his decision and ended up in this kind of situation. My two brothers are sitting on the sofa too. They are interrogating Kuya Zeus.

“Ma, I'm hungry,” I said in a low voice. It's true, I haven't eaten anything since the morning and if I'm right it's already 3 in the afternoon. Narinig pala ni Papa ang sinabi ko kaya binalingan na naman niya si Kuya Zeus.

“Hindi mo ba pinakain ang kapatid mo sa ha, Zeus Leonardo?!” Papa screamed at Zeus.

“Sorry, I forgot. I haven't eaten too, Pa. I was so excited to bring her home and gutom rin ako, Pa,” Kuya pouted when he said it.

My Papa is now looking at my two brothers, “You, two?! Go and prepare food for your siblings. Bilisan niyo!” Papa commanded at them and my two older brothers oblige without saying anything.

Since we are young, my parents thought us to do household chores even though we have maids. They didn't spoil us with things, but they showered us with so much love. Although, I was spoiled with both love and stuff because I am their only Goddess. My mother is the Queen, of course, she ruled the house.

“Pa...” he looked at me then come near me. Tumabi rin siya sa'kin, pinagitnaan nila ako ni mama.

“Yes, Goddess? Do you need anything? Papa will give it to you,” he said as he hold my hand.

“I'm not mad at you, Papa. In fact, I'm thankful. I meet him because of what you did,” I said and smile at him.

“But he hurt you. I arrange you to a marriage because I don't want you to get hurt. Mahal na mahal ka ni Papa, anak. Sorry kung nasakal ka ni Papa, hmm?” he said and I hugged him.

I told my family everything, except how he left me in the apartment after we did it. I might not control them and they might go to the city.

My father said sorry again and again. I'm not mad at him because as he said, he just doesn't want me to get hurt, I just misunderstood him. He don't see me as weak, he didn't just want me to get hurt. He loves me too much that he wants to make sure that I'm in good hands.

Nasa loob ako ngayon ng kwarto ko, sa mansyon. I'm happy that I'm home. But my heart is looking for someone I can't have. Tears stream in my face, I'll just savor this pain until it will fade.

I heard a knock on the door, it was coming from outside my room. Pinahiran ko ang luha sa aking pisngi at inayos ang sarili. I don't want them to worry and blame themselves cause I got hurt.

“Pasok!” I shouted.

My three brothers came inside my room, I smiled at them. Zeus was holding a glass of milk, pinatong niya ito sa bedside table. Umupo silang lahat sa kama ko. Malaki naman ang kama ko kaya okay lang.

“Antok ka na, Diyosa?” Kuya Hades asked, inilingan ko siya.

“Sabi ni Zeus, namimigay ka raw ng pera do'n, hindi mo ba ako bibigyan?” Kuya Cupid pouted. Nakita pala ni Zeus 'yon.

“Shut up, Kuya. May pera ka naman, ba't ka nanghihingi? Kinakawawa ka ba ni, Faith?” Zeus banter. It caught my attention.

Nahuli ako sa balita, gusto ko pa naman masaksihan ang love story ng mga Kuya ko.

“Who's Faith?” I asked curiously. Kuya Cupid blushed when I mentioned the name.

“Girlfriend ni Cupid, Diyosa.” Kuya Hades answered while he was combing my hair using his hand.

My brothers act gay every time we're all together without anyone around. It's their way to show me that they cared. Their furture wives are surely lucky.

“May ibang babae ka na sa buhay mo, Kuya? Paano kami ni Mama?” I sadly said.

Although I'm just kidding, alam ko naman na makakahanap rin sila ng babaeng mamahalin. Although, may part na ayoko kasi nasanay ako na ako lang lagi.

“You'll always be the number one to Kuya, County. Magkaka-asawa man ako, kayo pa rin ni Mama ang nangunguna, hmm?” he said and pinched my cheeks.

I'm so lucky to be part of this family. Albeit, I misunderstood their wants for me. Nevertheless, coming to the city, I would never regret it. Never.
