Listen

Tick, tick, tick, tick, the hollow tick tock of a grandfather clock,
Listen.

The wind whirling through empty rooms and corridors - the echo of the empty,
Listen.

Water trickling and tracing pictures on window panes and rain drops tap dancing of leaves,
Listen.

Thunder I hear thunder and it doesn't clap like they say - it rolls and unfurls above,
Listen.

Silence, you can't hear silence yet it is said that when Listen you hear nothing and nothing is silent,
Listen.

Every breath crawls up and down the lungs and matches the tick, tick, tock of the grandfather clock,
Listen.

The wind, the rain, and the thunder come together and twist into natures orchestra,
Listen.

I said Listen, close your eyes and stop for a moment,
Rest and drift to the song the world is singing, let it become as familiar as your own heartbeat,
Listen.

Just Listen.
