⚊ chapter three

Welcome to the world of weddings, Cha Eunjoo where there is a cheating groom, a blind bride, bridesmaids, groomsmen and a diamond ring you'll never afford at this age.

I'm now alone in my hotel room because Jay was called by his grandma he hadn't meet for a long time and had flown here all the way from Seattle.

With nothing to do, I wandered over to the sliding glass door adjacent to my bed. I slid the door open to a balcony. Like I asked for Jay, the view was very scenic. In fact, we were facing the ocean right away and it's shining gentle waves greeted my first look outside.

I sat down on the ground. The floor was made of tiles, so it was quite a bit cool against my butt and I slipped my legs through the poles of the railing and sat comfortably as I pondered about the meaning of my visit here with my legs dangling.

What was I doing here? I didn't even like the groom, not anymore after what I caught him doing in the mall. He also started being way more friendly after that in each of the familly dinners I attended with Jay, as if making sure I would keep quiet about his secret.

Now that I'm here, I even become a maid of honor to a woman I barely knew. I groan out loud and let my head lean against the cold railing. I was stuck here for two weeks helping the couple to spend their long stay celebration here.

The only thing I'm excited about this place is to leaving.

"Are you okay?", a voice asked. It was deeper and not coming from my own balcony.

I looked up and saw a well-built guy. He was standing in the balcony next to mine and besides the fact he was more beefy than my boyfriend, he is also good looking, but not enough to interest me anymore.

I shook my head, "I'm fine", I said, "I'm Eunjoo by the way"

He smiled and nodded, "You're the maid of honor I heard about from Jaehyuk hyung. I'm Park Solomon"

The name rang a bell, but from where? I should blame it for not really caring about the other people around me, "You're here for the wedding as well then?"

He chuckled. Was my funny question or something? "Yeah, but I'm just one of his distant relative", He told me.

He leaned on the railing of the balcony. I cocked my head and evaluated him. He just looked so damn familiar.

"What?", He asked, eyebrows raised.

I realized I was staring and averted my eyes back to the view. "It's..", I looked at him again, "You looked familiar. Are you kind of famous?"

"Ever watch All Of Us Are Dead?", He said, "I was one of the actor there and -"

"Oh the one named Lee Suhyeok right?", I said, finally getting why he looked a bit familiar. I grinned, proud of myself, "Do you happen to be relative to Park Hyungsik as well?"

"People here kept asking him about me when I didn't know him any better than one of my seniors", He laughed.

"Wow. Isn't that a bit annoying? You're also an actor and yet they were asking for another towards you?", I crossed my arms because I knew that feeling, of being overshadowed a bit by your own sibling's success.

Or in his case, another people's success.

He had a brilliant smile at me that was quite infectious. I felt the tug on the end of my lips.

"Oh yes, but I got used to it by now. My other actor friends felt the same", He said then ask, "Is it really true that you're a sister to a Cha Eunwoo?"
