⚊ chapter eight

I can't wait to ugly cry for this wedding if we were to fail at our mission to crash it. Jay, as the perfect boyfriend, literally dragged one of the stylists from the bride's suite to our room and pay her handsomely to now always style me up until the end of our trip here.

So I was now dressed in a puff sleeve holliday sundress and simple pink sandal with my hair in wavy curls. The stylist also applied some light make up and bathed me in a sunblock my whole boday since she said it was good if I don't want to get a sunburn here anytime soon.

I was ready to go out for my own task.

I assumed this was going to take a while and I wouldn't see my boyfriend and the others until later at 6:30 pm.

That's how Jay estimated my time with Chowon would end.

Chowon and Jaehyuk were ready to go when I got there in the lobby, "You look you're ready to go on a date later with Jay", Chowon said with one hand on her teeny-tiny waist.

She gave me a knowing sweet smile.

"I have somewhere to go with him after doing my role as a maid of honor for you", I said, giving my phone a final check.

The sweet woman laughed at my vagueness. Jaehyuk gave me an unsure look, "Let's go, ladies"

"To the beach and the reception hall", Chowon said, holding her fiance's hand.

So it was going to be me and just them. Great. Talk about being a third wheel on a couple you're going to break soon.

The beach was nice. I couldn't really comment on how Jaehyuk keep looking at his phone while Chowon is too busy to gawk around the ocean to even notice, because I think it would be obvious to her groom if I were to say anything.

I don't know about Jaehyuk, but I sent this info as soon as I could to the crashers' group chat.

Eunjoo: Groom to be looking at his phone all the time. Bride was too busy looking at the spot for the ceremony

Jay: Just focus there before this group chat got noisy again

Eunjoo: On it

Minji: Where is my fucking boyfriend, everyone?

Sunghoon: Can you just please shut up about him for a minute and help me find seashells here?

Kiara: Wait... Are you also out in the beach?

Minji: Yes. Stuck here watching my odd ball of a cousin picking up seashells

Kiara: Same here. Stuck here watching my boyfriend and his sister building some sandcastles

Heeseung: Sunhee is so cute anyway on her yellow sundress. It's a good thing I brought some sunblock lotion for her

Jungwon: Eww

Jake: Where's Ni-ki? I can't seem to find my shorts here in our room

Minji: That's what I was asking. Where is he?

Jungwon: Probably up in some coconut tree

Minji: Funny.😑

Jay: Oh wait. I know where your boyfriend now. Busy on the jetski

Minji: That fool really. Let me get him!

Kiara: Just focus on your mission, Eunjoo unnie

I pocketed my phone and I followed the couple behind them for the venue of the reception. Apparently they have three ballroom here. One overlooking the ocean, one in the middle which was made of wood and it kinda looks minimal on aesthetic and the one where you could dance in the center with the chandelier hanging above us and more space to see.
