⚊ chapter four
It didn't take long for the elevator to open for us in the next floor. It was, after all, only beneath from our room. Jay lead me down the hall and into a large room which looked like a suite.
He stopped by the door, "This is the bridesmaid suite. You'll soon be called here", Jay said, opening the door and making a polite gesture to the people in the room.
"Cha Eunjoo, is that you?", a voice asked to me in surprise. I looked away from Jay and saw one of my former highschool classmates in the seat before the mirror with light bulbs around it.
Park Jiwon - one of the girls who once fell for my lie two years ago about Jay being my boyfriend when it was still fake.
"Jiwon, is that really you?", I asked her, not expecting to see her here. She nodded vigorously, "It's been so long since our graduation. Why are you here anyway?"
"Ah well", She said, standing up from the chair to give me a hug, "We're one of the second cousins to the groom who from what my mon says is a menace. And I realized that he doesn't deserve the bride at all", Jiwon said in only one breath, pausing before saying, "Sorry to ruin the mood"
A blonde emerged from the bathroom door. She was definitely someone I have not met before. An american girl, "Is it her? I mean, the one you were talking about to me, Jay. You didn't told me she's even more prettier than in pictures", she hit him on the arm.
"And be reminded that she's mine", Jay defended, making me confused at his choice of words.
"Hello I'm Eunjoo", I introduced myself with a smile, "I'm the maid of honor"
"I'm Addison, a bridesmaid who wanted to be a groomsmen instead", She shook my hand eagerly, "I gather that you're a girlfriend of my cousin here. Nice to meet you pretty"
From the way she was looking me up and down suggestively with Jay nudging her to stop, I now get what she wants herself to be. I'm not offended at all to be found attractive by a tomboy. Especially one that is beautiful and clearly etherial in her blue ocean eyes.
It didn't help the fact that she wasn't one of those tomboy wearing male clothes to shout their true gender for everyone.
She still wore female clothes and damn does it look good on her.
"Stop gawking at my girlfriend, Addy", Jay reprimanded and was then walking to my side while Jiwon is only standing there, not knowing what to do.
Addison laughed, "I'm just messing with you, but one question, do you like this wedding at all?"
I pursed my lips, sharing a look with Jay before answering her honestly, "To be honest, I'm only here for the sake of Jay"
"Me too", Jiwon says, raising her hand before smiling sheepishly, "My mom is a very superstitious one and she does have a bad feeling too about the groom for some reason"
All of us turned to Addison again. She was laughing out out loud, hysterically at that too, "Poor Jaehyuk where none of his fiance's bridesmaid like him and I'm his cousin and yet I still can't change my mind"
We laughed with her. That was a poor choice of the four of us but since we were only the ones here, we were free to do whatever we want.
Addison's phone went off, but she ignored it to continue talking, "I love Chowon, mind you. She talked me out of not going here. Although while she loves Jaehyuk, I do think she needs a slap or some reality check to see who she was marrying"
"Be careful talking like that around her", Jay corrected his cousin who just rolled her eyes.
"Anyways, my momma dear is calling again", Addison said after picking up her phone then shocked me by kissing me on the cheeks, "Bye Eunjoo", then she was immediately on her way out of the room.
