On 11 O'clock on Saturday, Emelia is woken up from her sleep by incessant ringing from her phone accompanied by obnoxious, loud knocking on her front door.

Groaning in annoyance, she rolled out of bed ignoring her phone completely and muttering curses all the way to the door which she pulled open to reveal a grinning Wanda tucking her phone in her jean pocket on the other side.

"Good morning." Wanda greeted in a sing-song voice.

"WHAT THE FUCK, WANDA? ARE YOU WAKING THE DEAD!?" Emelia exclaimed as she let her in and slammed the door closed.

Bleary, angry eyes turned to see a smiling Wanda, not trying to hide her glee at her rude awakening of her best friend.

Shrugging, Wanda dropped her bag on the floor before crushing Emelia in a hug. Automatically, Emelia's hands wrapped around her and tears sprang to her eyes at the familiarity and the comfort of it, forgetting that she just woke her up very rudely.

Taking a deep breath, she buried her face in Wanda's fiery red bob of hair, "I've missed you." Emelia whispered as she squeezed her one more time before pulling away.

Wanda's eyes caught hers, running her hands along Emelia's cheeks, "I've missed you too, Em. So much."

With a teary smile, Emelia turned to the kitchen to start on breakfast prep for them both.

"I have NOT missed this way of you waking me up though, bitch," Emelia told her as Wanda chuckled as she put her bag to the side and started checking every corner of Emelia's apartment with excited eyes.

"How was the road? Did you get here easily?"

Emelia asked as she broke a couple of eggs into a pan while Wanda washed her hands and slid onto the kitchen counter.

Nodding excitedly, "Yes! The location you sent me was very accurate, thank god. How did you sleep, bedhead beauty?" Wanda grinned mockingly at Emelia.

"Shut up! I slept late," Emelia fixed a hand through her hair after slapping Wanda's thigh for teasing her, "I was preparing our sleepover feast of yummy food and sweets." She huffed, her face heating up a little as she turned to focus on not burning the eggs and adding the sausages to another pan.

Wanda laughed, her sharp eyes caught the blush on her best friend's cheeks, and she couldn't resist teasing her as she hopped off the counter to help and start her favorite pancake batter.

"Just cooking? For me? No extracurricular activities that wore you out then?"

"No.." Emelia answered in a small voice.

Raising a brow, Wanda hummed a low "Okay." As she added chocolate chips to the pancake mix.

She would let Emelia confess on her own if she wanted to, she knew that her friend was stressed from living on her own for the first time in 24 years.
