Huh Jaune thought to himself. Never thought I'd ever wish to be back on Typhon. But after the morning I've been having, one could see why I say that.

Right now, Jaune sat at a table in a small café with Team RWBY staring him down. He could just imagine all the questions they'd have. Right now, after pouring his guts out to one of the only people who stood beside him at his lowest, he didn't feel in the mood for being pestered by questions. Especially when most of them where coming from Weiss of all people. God he just wanted to go back into Ace's cockpit and rest eternally. Wouldn't that be a dream?

"So..." Ruby speaks up nervously. "How have you been Jaune?"

Jaune didn't really want to answer. He didn't have to. But seeing Ruby upset (At him of all people) was something he would not like to experience today. If not at all.

"Fine." He replies. Well as fine as one can be when they're hated by almost everyone in the vicinity.

"Hehe, great..." Ruby chuckles, not sure how to deal with the tension between everyone.

"Well," Weiss starts. "If you're not going to say anything , then I will. Why are you here Arc?"

Like I wanted be here, Jaune thinks to himself. "I don't know."

"You don't know?" Blake says. "You don't know why or how you ended falling from the sky? Or how you pointed a gun at Weiss's head?"

"I'm still mad at you for that." Yang adds.

"I did what I felt was right for me at the time. I didn't feel like dealing with any of you." Jaune states. "No offense Ruby."

"None taken."

"What does that mean? Are we annoying to to you?" Yang says.

Yes. Very.

"Look." Jaune says. "Why don't we forget this ever happened? I'll take my partner and be on my way. You guys don't ever have to see me again."

"No. You are not leaving until you answer our questions truthfully." Weiss states.

"And why should I do that exactly?" Jaune questions.

"Because our friend - who we haven't seen or heard anything from for 3 years - suddenly appears falling from the sky in what looks to be some very advanced Atlas tech." Yang points out.

Friend? Weren't they the same ones who - with the exception of Ruby - all had no problems with him being kicked out? Why should he have to tell them anything?

"That's rich coming from you guys." Jaune retorts.

"What?" Yang responds. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Look. I'm going leave regardless of what say." Jaune says. "I have better things to do. Like doing anything that doesn't involve any of you." Except Ruby. She's cool in Jaune's book.

"Ok what's your problem asshole? We were just trying to see if you were alright. Ruby's been worried sick about you for 3 years! So I'm sorry if were just concerned about your wellbeing!" Yang shouts, as her eyes slowly turn red.

"Hey guys?" Ruby's quiet voice says. "Why don't we all calm down and just-"

"Yeah, why are you being so rude? All we did was ask how you've been for the past 3 years and you just became unnecessarily hostile." Blake pitches in.

"Maybe it's because I just don't like you guys." Jaune responds.

"Guys-" Ruby tries to speak.

"What did we did to you? If anything we should be mad at you for disappearing for 3 years with no contact!" Yang angrily yells.

"Well I'm sorry if I was too busy you know, NOT being a huntsmen to contact you! Sorry if all my hopes and dreams being crushed almost instantly was too much for me to call and say 'Hey!'"

"Are you still on that? That was 3 years ago! Get over it!" Weiss says.

"Get over it? For 17 years my only dream was to be something! And after 17 years of dreaming, you expect me to just throw it away? My whole future was ruined because of that! That's not something you just 'Get over' Weiss!"

"Well maybe if you had got in the real way, no one would have kicked you o-"

"STOP YELLING!" Ruby yelled.

Everyone, being surprised by this outburst from Ruby of all people, ceased all activities almost immediately.

"Weiss! That was uncalled for! Yang! You need to cool off! And Jaune!" Ruby says, frustrated by the bickering between her teammates and Jaune.

"Jaune, just give them some time to cool off. Please." She pleaded. "I swear I'll make it up to you soon."

Jaune, who has calmed down from his earlier outburst, nods his head and makes towards the exit. Before he reaches the door, he turns around and reaches his hand out towards Ruby.

"Ruby, let me get your scroll."

Said girl hand over her scroll with. Jaune connects his helmet, and by proxy his titan, then hands it back.

"When you need me, just call Ace." Ruby checks her scroll and finds a contact named Ace(Jaune's Titan).

"I'll see you soon Rubes." Jaune says with a small smile as he exits the building.

Ruby responds with a smile of her own, then turns back to her team to teach them a lesson about manners.

Jaune was on his way back to Ace's position when it hit him. He never said bye to his family. As much as he loved his family, he was scared they would hate him. For leaving on his own to pursue his, now failed, dream. For not caring about how they would feel. For not saying goodbye before he left. He was conflicted between calling them because he was happy to be back, and staying away out of fear for their reaction.

As he was lost his thoughts, Ace spoke out to him.

"PILOT. YOU APPEAR TO SHOW SYMPTOMS OF ANXIETY. ARE YOU OKAY PILOT." Ace's voice sounded out to him.

"Yeah I'm alright Ace. Just a little worried about my family. I haven't seen them for 5 years since I left for Beacon. I don't know how they'll react if I call them now." Jaune says, sounding a bit exhausted.

"PILOT, DO YOU WISH TO CONTACT YOUR RELATIVES?" Ace asked him.

"Yeah I do, but it isn't that simple." Jaune responds.

"IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT THEM, THEN HOW WILL YOU EVER FIND OUT IF THEY HATE YOU OR NOT?"

Jaune ponders this question for a minute. After thinking on this for a while, he finally comes to a decision.

"You know what Ace? You're right. I'll give them a call."

After going through all the numbers he can remember and not reaching 1, he finally gets to Saphron's number.

Ring, Ring, Ring,

"Come on."

Ring, Ring, Ring,

"Please, please, please."

"Hello? Who is this?" A female voice picked up.

"Hello? Is this Saphron speaking?"

"Yes. Who is this?"

It's me, He wanted to say. It's Jaune

"It's uhhh..." Jaune stumbled around his words. "It's your brother, Jaune."

So, Hello again! I had to take a break for family reasons as well as school, but now that things have lightened up and I've gotten out of my semi-writer's block, I'll be able to make more chapters. I'm sort of still making things up as I go, and seeing as how there are new stuff being added in (Like Volume 9 and, hopefully, Volume 10) and I also haven't written in almost a year, there are bound to be some mistakes. If anyone finds any inconsistencies or mistakes, feel free to point them out. Deuces, from me!
