a/n- theres a lot of dialogue in this one, you have been warned!

"You sure about jumping on a moving train?" I asked as the train started to pass us.
"Yup! If we're gonna go rouge, we're doing it right." She nudged me and started to walk towards the train.
"What the hell am I getting myself into?" I muttered to myself and followed her as we started running and jumped onto an empty train cart.
"Where does this thing go?"
"North? Maybe we'll end up in Seattle." Her saying that immediately reminded me of Max, which made me a little sad.

I stood there for a second, taking everything in.

"Pull up a chair. The view's amazing." She sat one some boxes.

As she said that I got a text from Chloe.

C: hey, sorry about earlier.
E: chloe price is apologizing?? wow.
C: oh fuck you.
E: you wish.
C: har har.
E: don't worry about it thou, it's okay.
C: you sure?
E: one hundred percent :)
C: no emojis!!!

I smiled at her texts and pulled a box in front of Rachel and sat on it.

We sat in silence, staring at each other and the view for a couple seconds.

"It's nice Rachel we're having." Man english is hard.
"What?"
"Weather! I meant weather."
"It sure is." She laughed at my mistake.

"So, it's kinda weird that we're hanging out."
"You mean because I don't hang out with anyone and barely have friends?"
"You have hella friends."
"Nope. Only two. You know Chloe, and there's another. Her name's Max, but she left to go see the wonders of Seattle." I got a little sad again.
"That sucks." She frowned.
"Shit happens... Hey, I wasn't gonna say it earlier but it seems like you have some kind of jedi mind control over the theatre crew."
"You mean when we were talking about true love in the play? I guess you could say I'm good with people, yeah."
"Just don't pull that stuff with me."
"You will get on this train." She smirked while doing a hypnotic hand gesture.
"Oh fuck." I giggled.

There was a silence but she broke it.

"I bet you're wondering what we're doing." She leaned forward.
"The thought occurred, yeah."
"Well.. I wanted some company."
"That's it?"
"That's it."
"Come on. I need more info than that."
"Joy rides with me aren't fun?" She slightly raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Joy rides to where, again?"
"Life needs a little mystery, Ethan."
"Right."
"Hey, I have an idea. Let's do something fun." She got off the box and sat on the floor.
"I didn't bring condoms with me, sorry." I joked.
"Wow!" Her eyes widened.
"Too far?" I snickered.
"Well, I don't know." She smiled.
"Alright, something fun. I'm all ears."
"Two truths and a lie."
"Two truths and a lie, huh? Bring it on." I got off the box and sat on the floor, my legs dangling out the train.
"I'll start. First, I'm ambidextrous. Second, I was born in New York, the land of fashion and Broadway, to which I will one day return when my heinous exile here in Arcadia Bay comes to an end."
"New York? Never been there."
"Not a world traveler?"
"Not yet at least."
"If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Russia, Greece, Kathmandu?"
"I'd love to go see the mountains."
"Hey, me too." She smiled.
"What's your third thing?"
"My third thing?"
"Yeah, you know, the game where you say two truths and--"
"Right! I'm a Leo. Meow." She did a cat like gesture.
"Okay! So... ambidextrous, New York, and a Leo. Got it."
"So, which is the lie?"
"You seem like a cali girl to me." I smiled.
"Shit, you're good."
"I don't mean to brag, so, I'll let you do it for me." She giggled.
"I was born in Long Beach, I've never been to New York."
"On the bucket list then, sounds cool."
"You're turn." She moved next to me.
"Right, first fact.. I was born on Halloween. I'm the oldest out of all my siblings, and I'm an artist."
"The oldest, huh?"
"Yup!"
"You don't have any siblings."
"What? How'd you get that?"
"A lifetime of studying the human condition."
"I'm impressed."
"I bet it's hard to impress you. I'm gonna feel good about that one." She smiled, moving a little closer to me. I smiled back.
"When your dad is the District Attorney, I guess lying is.. something you're used to." She gave me a deep stare. Her green eyes looking sad.
"Seriously?"
"Seriously."
"I know who to call if I need to get out of a ticket then."
"You have a car?"
"Sure do."

We smiled at each other. It was a weird, but good feeling.

"Hey, thanks for trusting me."
"Trusting you?"
"Yeah, two truths and a lie is a vulnerable game, but you played with no questions asked."
"Well, you seem like someone I can trust."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."

Her eyes looked happier.

"Music?" I pulled out my phone.
"Hell yeah." I gave her one earbud and put in the other.

After a few minutes of listening she took it out.

"Alright. We're here. Ready to jump."
"Jump off?"
"Yup!" She jumped of the train and rolled.
"Fuck it." I jumped off and did the same.
